Subject: Is this Possible?

I made some changes to my opening statements... it has been Edited at the Original Post... please check it out again Jay and tell me if this is more reasonable.
That's cool, I just was thinking about how many there are and imagining 10 pages of them for a new user to digest. Some peeps can't read more than 25 words without glazing over and proclaiming it a wall of text!

Someone has probably suggested this but I kind of think it would be good to have the rules sticky's of a particular forum pop up when a new user creates his first post in that forum. It might actually get them to read it instead of having it all at account creation. That way they are only presented with the ones that pertain to them at that time. If they branch out to a new forum, they get that "Rule" sticky the first post.

I do wish something would be done to help eliminate some of the redundancy of posts so if any of this could be done, it would be good. Oh, and can we get a permanent IP ban on anyone who types "I can has Recon" - including Bungie Employee's :)

Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

You can't make anyone read anything but we are working to make stickies a bit more visible.

You should make the sticky picture a sticky grenade instead of the Gorrila Suit and Exclamation (!) Mark.

I like the idea of a Pop-Up that comes up whenever the forums are accessed. I think this could help the amount of repeat posts and spam topics tremendously. I got a website from BurritoSenior's Sig that had a tut. video on Posting and I think that all the new members should be FORCED to watch this...

I agree that the users should only have to view the stickys that explain the Rules of that certain forum. Please IP ban all of these kids who are obsessed over something they CAN'T have... like the quote from The Incredibles:

"Syndrome: Oh, I'm real. Real enough to defeat you! And I did it without your precious gifts, your oh-so-special powers. I'll give them heroics. I'll give them the most spectacular heroics the world has ever seen! And when I'm old and I've had my fun, I'll sell my inventions so that *everyone* can have powers. *Everyone* can be Super! And when everyone's Super...
[chuckles evilly]
Syndrome: No one will be."

It's actually relatively easy to bypass an IP ban.

Yeah but the kids who are spamming these forums are usually not fluent in any comp. languages or even literate for that matter.
I am just saying that most people with common sense tend to hold their tongues or create legitimate issues, the problem is not with just Kids, its with people who lack common sense all together. People who just don't get "it." I think the first step to making these forums a better place is to have a Sticky Policy enforced.

I would have to agree on that one.

Not all are little kids but I mostly agree with you.
