When I killed Regert I swear a plasma pistol appeared next to him

To be honest, by the time I bother killing him, there are usually about 50 PP's laying around (the game keeps up with some housecleaning). I usually play that part of the level for at least an hour, killing as many grunts and elites as possible until I get bored with it. They will keep on spawning until you kill Regret. Typically I will just keep running around and punching out the grunts and sticking the elites. The longer you play the level this way the more dialogue you get to hear, and I have heard a few things doing this that I have never heard anywhere else in the game (no, I cannot recall any of them since it has been at least 3 months since I have done this, sorry!). There are no other places in the game where you get to see and fight more than a few Honor Guards, so the more of them that spawn the more varied the dialogue becomes. Plus I get my jollies punching grunts in the face, I know, I am wierd that way! This is one of the ways I perfected my plasma grenade toss. With Catch on, there are so many grenades lying around that you never run out and can really get some good practice in. I have done some sticks that even surprised me (in a good way of course!). Since I dont play online, this makes my campaign throws alot more valuable since there are typically alot less enemies throught the other levels than the neverending spawn of Regrets chamber.

I remember an HIH video where a guy got to the top of the building Regret is in.. pushed some sort of green glowing thing until it fell to the bottom of the structure... of course he couldn't get down without dying and go pick it up... but.. yeah there's the pissibility.

That's a great place to spend hours raiding with IWHBYD, catch, and sputnik. I've noticed that if you have the unnamed skull and you play on easy with IWHBYD activated, you'll hear more rare dialogue than without. Since I'm an Easy only kind of guy, this makes finding new lingo much more convenient since I don't have to worry about dying. I wish it would keep spawning Elites for me, it goes all grunts after about 30 Elites.

There are times when it sends mostly grunts, but there are ways to get the game out of that mode. Keep in mind, that on the easy setting there will always be less of everything, which is just the price of being on that setting. There are times on Legendary where there is just too much of things, which is just the price of playing on that setting. Play what makes you happy.

There are 4 doors that the elites can spawn from. Sometimes they just stand in the doorway until you shoot at them, or toss a friendly grenade in their direction. The two doors closest to the entry into the room tend to also have grunts just standing in the corners that have to be killed to get things moving in the right direction.

I have found that if I do a pattern to keep me moving throughout the room, on both levels I can spot where they may have clogged up. When I am on the bridge I will jump and turn so I can see farther into those doorway recess areas. This is one of the ways I got alot better at lofting plasma grenades more on target. I have done some sweet long distance sticks. With Sputnik and Catch on, things can get pretty messy very quickly. The stands and tables get all knocked over and create some blocks that can work for and against you.

I like to play by making sure I have brought every BR with me on the gondola ride over, and all of the sniper rifles as well. I even bring the Carbines. I like to be able to use those to pick off the grunts long distance, and noob combo the elites. I play on Legendary and it keeps me alive longer with all the grenades coming my way to be able to pick off with accuracy from a safer distance.

The other thing you have to do to keep the elites spawning is you do have to occassionally board Regret's throne and throttle him a few times. This also typically will produce a checkpoint for you (or shortly thereafter). It seems more elites come out if he is in more danger. I get tired of dodging his stupid ray gun, so it is nice to be able to go pop him in the nose a few times anyway.

I have seen that same vid of being on top of the structure. I have not been able to do it from the outside. It is a plasma pistol, and if you move it around too far, it just falls into the water below (or so the vid leads one to believe). I have farted around alot inside the temple, going up into the rafters, the alcoves above the waterfall at the other end of the room, and the overhead area just above the entry door, but I have yet to be able to jump to the outside of the structure from the inside without dying.

For the most part I play that part of the level one of two ways:

1-lets see how many plasma pistols I can dump into the pool at the other end of the room.....this one is fun, run and gun down/smack down grunts, grab their PP and dual wield till I can dump one into the pool......I have gotten up to 43 before dying.

2-let the grenades fly.......kills only by plasma grenade and melee only (to get the grenades). This one can be tough because with Catch on they toss alot back at you, and with melee only to get them to drop theirs you have to get aloooooooooooot closer alot more often. It is funny to watch all that grenadage go off when a pile gets lit up though! This one is easier to survive the dual wielding Plasma Rifle Elites when I have Envy active. Without it, those bastages just blow through MC shields like nothin.

Have Fun!
