I believe that people have a fairly neutral opinion of me right now. This may have been different when I posted stupidly long ago, but now I hardly ever post, so I don't think anyone really sees me enough to have any kind of opinion of me.

I don't know how well liked I am... I guess maybe a 5 or 6. I guess I kind of travel the forums in relative obscurity, occasionally doing something that is of some noteworthiness. And I don't recall ever really pissing anyone off.

I feel the community is so large most of us simply go unnoticed. I'm sure I'm rather inconspicuous and unnoticed personally. I'm sure there are a few members that know of me, from my exploits long ago. There are probably a lot more people who don't know me, which makes me feel I'm neutral. Certain people though, when I think of notable members of the community I think of people like Cryptic Guardian (Who I think has done more for the community in six months than I have done in four years...), Iceman Assassin (Totally reasonable and intelligent member with a knack for being personable and informed.), Rockit, PKF_647, Durado, Muffin Man One, Coffey4780, the Moderation Team and the few people I personally like from the team (even though I may not even know or talk to some of them), Pezz, RN54, Shishka (from back in the day.).

All these members (and probably a few others I'm forgetting to mention) to me anyway signify what the Community should be, or at least some of the more positive and helpful members of the community.

And I debated whether I should have even mentioned the Mods. It's obvious that they are valued members, because of what they choose to do for the community. I even understand their position, as someone going into a career field that is constantly under scrutiny, then is generally disliked by the public. So, I leveled with myself, the Mods don't get their names in bold. Do your job! =P

Yeah I rarely post here anymore, like only a couple times a week, so most people have no idea who I am.

Also your sig link to the mods needs to be redone. Thanks, I hadn't noticed that it had changed. Fixt.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

You posts do not go unnoticed Truth. You are a man with wise words, in every post you post here in the Septagon. At least, from what I have read. I appreciate the recognition, and I completely agree with your list; as well as add a few of my own such as Naku and muffin man.

But once again, Cam has far more wiser words and a less confusing form.
BTW, I noticed you High Truth. I pay attention to most everyone, unless they're clearly pointless wastes of carbon and water (which is the type I deal with a lot, sonce that's what being a moderator is all about). Though to you good ones; don't be discouraged if it looks as though you're not noticed. We see you, and I respect most of you. I may not say it directly to your face, but that's just because there are so many of you. Continue to enjoy interacting with the forums as you always have. That's what this place is here to do, and so long as you're doing that, everything else will fall into place.
Gotta love ya cam.

I try, I either post something useful or not at all. Although, I have done just "witty" comments every once in a while. I post in a lot of the forums H3, Underground, Community, Flood.

Like I said earlier:

Thanks, Evilcam! I often think of the quote:

If you do something right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

And you know what, that seems true a lot of the time. At the end of the day though, I'm not here to be the paradigm of the community. I'm just here to share in the community. To discuss, converse and all that good stuff with people who share my interest. All the other things surrounding that goal is generally just filler.

Yeah, though, a lot of you members are good members, even great members to me. I think this is a good thread, that may be long overdue.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

I believe that I'm not liked or disliked. I feel like I'm pretty much a nobody in the community. I want to standout in some way, but it can be hard with so many prevalent members. For the moment I am just trying to post regularly. Hopefully I will come up with a significant way of contributing to the community in the future.

I'm liked in REAL LIFE. ;-)

I don't really care if someone hates or likes me on Bnet. I used to be extremely active back in 2006, mostly known in a large number of groups. Other than that, I usually don't post often. I am on once a day, reading, laughing, learning. I post if necessary, create a new thread rarely.

There you have it.

When it comes to forums, I try to just tell it like it is, some people like that, others don't. I really don't care though.

- Mike

Personally, I don't think anyone cares about me...

  • 01.28.2008 9:26 PM PDT

I'm not too sure. I know that when I first joined that for a couple months it seemed like no one noticed me. I felt alone, but I kept posting. Then maybe a couple months ago, I was talking to this person on Xbox Live and he said that some people knew me. Being the person that I am, I dismissed it. And now, I kind of feel unnoticed. But, the only time I feel noticed is when I make a complete ass of myself (Which I don't do quite often). Kind of just like my regular life.

*Hands self another another "Fail" sticker*

Damn. I've got two now.

  • 01.28.2008 9:38 PM PDT

ALot of people dislike me. If I win, they thin I cheated, have no life, needs a girlfriend, yada yada yada. If I lose they say I suck and should sell my game, and I dont deserve a rank, and that my mother doesnt love me. If I tie they say I could have done better and that I am not worthy for this game that is called halo....But I keep on playing! Muahahahahahahahha.....*ahem*. The point is,its easy to hate some one to hate you, but skillfull to be nice to someone who hates you. I try to be nice and help people through my own group called "Thrive 2 survive" But that really only affects those who join lol. But anyways, for those of you who think 0... I like you :D Peace to the world and so the world can have peace.

Personally, I'm not worried about the opinions of random people from the internet. I'm sure most people feel the same. Heck, one can't prove I exist, so what's the point of caring?

How do you see your self on the Bungie.net forums...are you liked or disliked?
EDIT:How do you think people feel about you

If you know why...tell us.

Don't use names...thats just mean.

As my goal is always optimistic in which I hope everyone likes me, I know that in the end it's not who likes you and who dislikes you, it's whether you accomplished your goal or are at least continuing to strive to reach it. My goal is to help others and make a difference on Bungie.net and honestly I really don't know if I am, but that is my intention so I will continue to go in that direction hoping that others are finding solutions to their problems and are thankful in return.

On a side note, I do notice everyone's participation here on the Bungie.net public forums and it is greatly appreciated. Just because I don't call you out or say thank you every time you post doesn't mean that you are completely unnoticeable; I am seeing those same people stand out here on Bnet. They are the ones who I look up to and acknowledge... so don't put yourself down because people do look up to you and give you recognition, even though you may be unaware of it.

For some of the people who are discouraged for thinking that they are completely unknown, I would like to point out that, personally, the second I go through...maybe two good posts from someone, their name starts to stick out. There are so many people here that it may seem hard to get a lot of recognition, especially for the time that some of you put into the site. Honestly, though, you don't really need to stand out as much as you think.

Personally, I think quite a few people here know me well. Although sometimes it's hard to tell, because, well...
Anyone else here constantly forget that just because you know someone well on a forum, it doesn't mean that they know you?
That happens to me a lot here.

Ouch don't be so harsh on yourself Yoozel, someone's gotta like ya! Shoot I appreciate ya for dealing with the mountain of useless topics that pop up. Plus don't be emo, nobody likes an emo. Also I've been thinking about if I'm known around the forum, then I thought its kinda a hard thing to judge. Its not like I have some survey or something, but I do think that alot of people have seen me once or twice.
