Only Achronos can delete accounts, but he hardly does it.

Nope. Accounts can't be eased. However, click here, it'll tell you how to unlink your email address to create a new one. You'll need a second email address I think.

If your account is inactive for a year then I think it gets deleted.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Actually, I believe it's 8 months. I think I heard that somewhere so I'm not 100% sure.

There's your answer.

Have fun.

I don't think it will happen. I'm sure that Achronos has the ability to delete your profile, but more than likely you'll have to either:

A) Make a new account with your new ID
B) Wait for that account to get deleted (don't be active on it at all for several months).. I'm not sure if this would even work, and it seems like way too much of a hassle anyway.

Hey guys, i recently got a new windows live ID and i was wondering if it were at all possible for a ninja to Erase my account on Bungie so that i can remake my "Ranger1991" Account with the new Windows Live ID. Is this AT ALL possible?
This is probably the hardest request I've ever seen come up on Bungie.net, yet there is one possible solution, but it is very unlikely that it will work in your case. You're going to have to pay attention very carefully to fully understand exactly what I am talking about.

I will give names for everything to help you understand the whole process...

Ranger1991 - Current Bungie.net Account
WLID 1 - Windows Live ID (email address) associated with your Bungie.net account "Ranger1991."
WLID 2 - Windows Live ID (email address) that you recently made and want to use to sign into your Bungie.net account "Ranger1991."
WLID 3 - Windows Live ID (email address) you would have to make temporarily to make this whole thing work.
Gamertag 1 - This is the gamertag associated with WLID 1 and Bnet account "Ranger1991." (Only if it appears hidden)
Gamertag 2 - This is the gamertag associated with WLID 2 and no Bungie.net account. (Assuming there is a gamertag associated with WLID 2)
Step 1 : If your WLID 2 has Gamertag 2 associated with it or linked to it, you're going to have to perform an action that changes your Windows Live ID associated with your gamertag. To do this access your Xbox 360 dashboard and select Account Management. From there you will see the option Windows Live ID and then from there you can select Change My WLID. It will ask you to sign into your WLID 2 account so do that first and then go through the process until you successfully switch it to a temporary WLID 3 that you have to make. Now, your Gamertag 2 is associated with your WLID 3. Note: If you do not have a Gamertag 2 at all associated with your WLID 2, then you don't have to worry about Step 1.

Step 2 : Now that you have your WLID 2 free from gamertags, you may delete the WLID account, leaving the email address you wanted to login into Ranger1991 now free, not associated with anything. You need to go to this website here and login in as if you were signing into Ranger1991. Look for the option that says "Change My Email Address." The only way you can change your email address associated with your current Windows Live ID (essentially changing your Live ID "login name") is if it isn't a MSN, live.com, or hotmail.com address. If you can't find an option to change your email address on your passport profile page, you can't really do anything.

Step 3 : However, if it is there click it and change the current email address to the one you want to use for the WLID 2 you created. Now, the email address that you use to sign into your Bungie.net account Ranger1991 would be the new one. Here's the problem though. If you have a Gamertag 1 that is as of right now hidden, that will stay linked to your Ranger1991. But, the good news is that you can unlink that now if you want that Gamertag 2 associated with it.

Step 4 : Perform the same action you did with your Gamertag 2, but now do it for Gamertag 1. It will ask you for your current WLID, so enter the new email address you are now using to sign into Ranger1991. From there, you must change it to another WLID. Here's what you can do. You can change it to a the old email address or create a WLID 4 (note: either way you have to create another WLID). By doing this, you have now unlinked Gamertag 1 from your Bungie.net account Ranger1991.

Step 5 : Because of Xbox Live's restrictions, you're going to have to wait 30 days before you can perform this following action because you previously changed the WLID associated with Gamertag 2. After 30 days, do it again... It will ask you to sign into your WLID 3 so do that. Then change the email address to the one you now use to sign into the Bungie.net account Ranger1991 (changing it to WLID 1). Once everything is completed you will end up with your new WLID (email address) signing into your account Ranger1991 and have Gamertag 2 linked to it. Note: If you only want Gamertag 1 linked to it or do now have Gamertag 2, simply ignore step 4 and step 5.

Summary : This is what you will do by following my instructions;
- Unlink your Gamertag 2 from your new WLID 2 and reassociate it to WLID 3. (If you have one linked)
- Delete your new WLID 2.
- Change old email 1 to new email 2 for WLID 1.
- Wait 30 days.
- If you have Gamertag 1 linked to Ranger1991, but do not want it... you unlink it and reassociate to another WLID 4.
- Reassociate Gamertag 2 with Ranger1991 by changing WLID 3 to WLID 1.
I'm sorry that this is very confusing, but please understand that my intentions are just to help. Also, do not attempt this unless you have some basic knowledge of it because you could end up screwing up other things. Please be careful and if you need further assistance or have more questions, feel free to send me a private message and I will be more than glad to do my best to help.

Your Bungie. net account being deleted wont affect your gamertag linking...... your gamertag is linked to you WINDOWS Live Hotmail address that u registerd on your xbox.... U will only be able to use that e-mail address for that gamertag..... When u sign in with ur passport it automaticly detects if u got a gamertag or not and now that it is necery to have a e-amil for Recovery Reasons on your xbox it means that the e-mail u signed up with..... will always stay the same.... if that e-mail is deleted your GT is deleted

Lesson to be learned: Never work with multiple lookalike tabs.
