Subject: Something Screwy, Can't Sign in to Real Account

Hey people. A week or so ago bungie.net would not let me sign into my account, every time I pressed Sign In it took me to the Sign up window. I eventually got mega pissed and made a new account (this one). Now, whenever I press Sign In, it automatically signs in to my new one and to sign in to my real account I have to delete the cookies, which is annoying because I have a lot of sites where I don't like to have to type my password every time I sign on.

Is there any way to delete this account? Or has anyone else had a problem like this? It's incredibly frustrating.

I'm not exactly clear on what the problem is. Do you want to get rid of this account that you are posting with? If so, just don't log into it ever....It will eventually be automatically purged.

As far as the sign up window, it may be that you (or even someone who used your computer) signed in to a Windows Live Passport somewhere else and your computer saved that auto-login data, so it tired to log into B.net using that persons Windows Live ID. Thus, you were prompted to make a Bungie Profile for the "new" WLID. Try going to your passwords tab in options and deleting the entry for Bungie.net, then reset it by signing in with the ID you want to be logged in as.

As far as signing in on this account and not the one you want, I'm stumped. It should prompt you to sign in at the sign in page with the information put in. Simply change the information. Unless you mean that it actually skips that page and auto-signs you in. If that's the case, someone more knowledgeable than me will probably give you a hand.

Yes I want to get rid of this account but I want to be able to click Sign In without having to delete my cookies.

If you want to get rid of this account on B.net, simply do not sign in anymore. If you want to get rid of the email attached to it, go to the providing email client, and somewhere in the depths of the options buttons there should be an option to delete the account. Although, it will be auto-deleted if you just stop using it. Which is easier for you.

As for the cookies thing. I'm not exactly sure. Go to your options menu in your browser, head to the security tab, go to the passwords setting and try clearing the password just for B.net and see if that doesn't help. Otherwise it may be that Windows itself is saving and entering the data. I'm not exactly savvy on all that, so hopefully someone else can help.

I'm on a Mac, and if it was as simple as "not signing into the account" I wouldn't be on this account posting this thread. The problem is that I want to be able to press Sign In without it automatically signing me into this account.

Also, another problem I forgot to mention is that when I click Sign Out on this account it doesn't sign me out. It stays signed in. what the **** bungie.

Okay, in this case I'm not sure what you should do. Might just want to give your settings a once over, although I'm sure you have. And, I mean, when you get into the account that you want, simply don't sign into this one and it will be auto-deleted.
