Oh ya I know I'm nitpicky but could the search feature also divide the files forums away from the main forums?

I search for files sometimes and don't want threads, and the other way around.

  • 01.30.2008 2:39 PM PDT

Wow. This will take some time to get adjusted to.
Oh home sweet home, oh how you've changed over time.

  • 01.30.2008 2:52 PM PDT

Ryro's suggestion is a good one and Recon's most recent one is a good one.

However...
Yet another suggestin by Senior Burrito...or burritosenior. It works two ways!

In the 'Top Forum Topics', it has stickied posts.
Since I haven't had this confirmed by anyone, I'm still going to assume those are the posts that have been bookmarked the most.

Why not just have all stickies in the 'pinned topics' section, then have the 'Top Forum Topics' just list non stickied either
A. Most bookmarked threads
B. Threads that are hot topics, but only the hot topics that have most recently been posted in.
I think B would be a good feature on its own, too.

OH GOD MY EYES.

Change them back, please.

I seriously hate this. The stickies don't even feel like they are part of the forum. I can't even look at the forum. It is so hideous. O, my god.

  • 01.30.2008 3:00 PM PDT

I like it now. Took a while to get used to.

Pros: Great new Scheme lots of features. Should work really great once you get used to it. Icons have been improved as well as stickies. Some things are a lot more noticeable. plus it does look a lot cleaner than before and a lot more friendlier than before.

Cons: They still didn't add the links to the other forums on the community java bar (like they used to). Plus their have been a lot of problems lately with the website crashing or responding after the update . I can barely post this response with out it having problems! Probably because of me :(

Other thoughts: none. who cares what I think? Your not even reading this are you?

Agreed. I HATE this unorganized mess we call a forum. Ug please change it back.

Personally, I have to say that I love it. Everything feels much more categorised now, and much easier to 'feel.'

Its only the little things that need minor tweaking, such as the 'last reply' functions in the stickies and the author in '0 reply' threads.

Other than that, I'm loving the new forums, kudos to Achronos.

I'm so good at Halo, Chuck Norris has me as an avoided player.

Regarding the complaints about the width of the posts:
Is there a way to allow us to set our screen resolution in our profile? I've got an inch and a half of blue grid on either side of the screen. If B.net KNEW I had the ability to display it wider, the it could . . . right?

Ok, when a Bungie employee posts in a thread, is it possible for the web team to make it where when you click the 7th column icon that turns yellow to make it go directly to the Bnet employee's 1st Post?

That would be useful in threads that grow 20 pages after 1 has responded.

3 round bursts are always less accurate (when looking at the point of impact vs point of aim) than single shots. That is how it works with real burst fire weapons. The reason there is a burst is because it is counting on that inherent inaccuracy and spread to increase the possibility of a hit when aiming at moving targets in combat conditions.

Why take out links to GT's

Why take out signatures?

there are no reasons. Please bring them back.

Thanks

Yes. That would be great! especially when they posted on page 17 of 32. how are you supposed to find that.

We’re looking back laughing because they called us crazy, but we took that chance on that feeling, living for the moment, we were spinning in. Maybe we were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy.

OH! I just noticed the home page in my group, that looks amazing! I love the transparency of the continued image in the banner. Awesome!

Do we really have to see the Top and Stickied topics when we browse through a thread, or when we reply?

~~Pardon Our Dust.~~

Buttons icons and cool forum banners etc? Great! :D

Everything else? Gross. I can't stand this. It's way too cramped. I am really not enjoying this. This is the very thing that could get me to stop coming to B.net. I loved the nice clean layout. Now I'm getting slammed by 2 columns and lots of icons.

Bleh.

And where's my signature? And why aren't topic titles Bold? It just looks gimpy and strange now. .. Reminds me of Invision.

Edit: Oh, I see. Meh. Too noisy on the eyes. I am having trouble looking at this clutter. (I see it's all organized, yes, but it's like the actual discussion portion is cramped in on the left now...) Wider left column, then I'd be happy.

If you invite me to your group you will be blocked.

I have a request.

Let me get used to the damn layout!

So far after the first major change there's been multiple changes, and when I finally get used to the new-ness it's all gone and something changes again.

The last change was good, after I was used to it I liked it.

This one....... Not so much.
Now it takes even more effort to see the sigs?

I liked it when they were included with the post. Now, I have no chance of viewing them because after New Hawtness2.0 I had the off chance to scroll over one by mistake and find a little gem of awesome. Might as well just remove sigs if you're going to shun them like this.

Quote boxes are horrible. I have to check if the text is tabbed over to see whether or not it was quoted. The box is close to non-existent.

I'm sorry, but this change is not aesthetically pleasing at all.

Suffice to say that sometime, a moderator is going to end this account permenantly.

My 2 complaints are:

1. Can't see who posted last
2. Have to click to see sigs

My thoughts are that with every update the content gets packed tighter and tighter and I'm not convinced yet if I like the trend. Same with sigs, I remember when they were at the bottom of every post, then they were moved to the avatar where you had to scroll over it just to see it and now you have to go and click that tiny little button. I'm thinking we're going to have to solve a sudoku puzzle just to see someone's signature by the time Bungie releases their next game.
