On a very positive note however.

We've also added a restriction to the Optimatch forum - only people with a linked Gold or Silver gamertag can post in there now. It doesn't have to be visible to others, just linked.

:D. Optimatch might actually be worth using now. Just a pity it isnt restricted purely to gold, in my opinion, but then i'm a bastard.

Booyah. The default graphic for Chapters (or Groups) sucks ass now. It's just... plain now. Boo!

*whips* Get to work!

EDIT: @Elmicker:

I agree. I have never once posted in the Optimatch forum for the four years I've been here. Maybe I'll give it a try now... Maybe.

Everything just seems cramped. I do like however, that pinned topics are not on the first page of the forums.

Do we really have to see the Top and Stickied topics when we browse through a thread, or when we reply?

Overall I like the layout but I'm a bit picky on a couple of things:

Firstly, it feels weird not having the "last reply by <author>" message. I used that as a simple and easy way of checking whether the forum had new replies or not. For example, if it says "last reply by ash55", I know there haven't been any replies since.

On the main index, just a little more space between each thread would make it look less cluttered in my opinion (although that would mean it takes longer to scroll down further).

Exactly what I was thinking... I am not a fan of not knowing who the last poster was... it was the optimal setup for the threads.
The forums do feel a bit more clustered now but that's not all bad.
Is it just me or is the header for the bungie community forums "squnched" in and cut off a bit. Might just be my browser..
Sigs... I'm glad we can still see them but they are cut down in size

As a Squirrel Ninja I do hereby promise to uphold our traditions, beliefs, and secrets, to recruit and induct Squirrel Ninjas who represent our ideals with pride, and to defend our traditions at all costs to myself with no exception. As a Squirrel Ninja I promise this until I die, or can’t physically or mentally uphold the ways of the Squirrel Ninja.

Not sure if this was intentional, but many of the stickes are also in the "Top Forum Topics" section. It seems a bit redundant to have them appear twice.

For the record, I like the changes. Pinned threads and mod tools are easier to use. On the other hand, sigs are even more worthless now.

No doubt. We need rid of that.

I agree. Whenever I go to view a thread, it feels like a nice cozy place for me, where nothing else exists but that thread.

If I want to browse other forums, I'll go and check the index. Now my sense of "coziness" has been pierced. Aieeeeeeeeeeeeee!

No page listing under "top topics" and "stickies" is a bit annoying, too. Doubles the number of clicks just to see if any of those threads has had any activity. But that'd add yet another line of text to that god-forsaken sidebar :(. Also,

I thought we were done away with navigational aids with the death of the bottom nav bar?

Yeah, I do think the Stickies are more VISIBLE but probably will go unnoticed after time.
I still am stuck on My Idea to fix the spam factor... be forced to view the sticky once and click the ACCEPT and then be on with it...

I agree totally. Now I'm gonna need to check all the time in each thread I posted in to see if someone replied after me.

Call me Wolfie | My anti-drug
New Flood for life <3

We’re looking back laughing because they called us crazy, but we took that chance on that feeling, living for the moment, we were spinning in. Maybe we were a lot of things, but we weren't crazy.

Okay, I have a concern:

I have a thread in one of my groups that 605 pages long. Once we hit page 7 or 10 when the thread was first created, we started seeing these "ghost pages" (as I like to call them) where a new page will be created, but the previous page still has under 25 posts. Therefore, that "ghost page" displays no posts and says "topic not found."

It's not that big of a deal to the group, you just have to go back one page. However, this new layout doesn't let you go back previous pages from the last page. So as of now, I cannot see or get to the current page in that thread.

Will this be fixed? I understand there are a lot of changes needed to be made because of the new layout, so I'm wondering if that would be one of them.

I hope this doesn't sound too confusing, I'm hoping a Mod will understand what I'm trying to say. Thanks.

Please flip the sticky box to the left side. The left margin is too heavy with the large box, and it makes me have the same uncomfortable feeling i get when I play isolation, i.e. not good

1. That's a bug that just start, we've noted it.
2. Your browser has cached old images, use Ctrl-F5.
3. People getting that should email bnetbugs@bungie.com. I've also asked test to look into it. We had that bug during development, but it should have been fixed, and if it is happening again, that's a regression that we'll take care of.

Some bugs I've noticed and others have already posted about.

1) When a thread just starts (no one replies yet), we can't see who the author is. Don't know if it was designed that way, but it would be nice to see the author before we click on it.

2) Some of the forum banners are getting cut off. Such as The Flood's saying being cut across the middle.

3) If someone is blacklisted, they are saying they are just getting an internal server error. Was there suppose to be a "You are blacklisted" page?

Looks a bit different than our test site--adding padding now/fixing styles/dimming down buttons.

There really isn't a way to see/show that a sticky or top topic has new replies or link to that last page/post, is there?

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

It's certainly different but i think i can get used to it. The pinned threads are cetainly more noticeable now and hopefully more people might read them.

Note: However, part of the move list and associated commands are hidden (in moderation tools).

I think I'm in the minority here, but I like the new changes. It's more conventional, more user-friendly. I prefer having the stickies and pinned threads off to the side, rather than taking up the entire first page of a forum. I like how everything is more compartmentalized. The replies are here, the stickies are here, the buttons are here, rather than everything just being kind of spread out in a quasi-conventional fashion.

It'll take some getting used to, but I like it.
