Everything seems very cramped, and the forum headers are cut off. The post boxes are cool looking, but the sigs are useless now. I think the problem would be solved if the stickies went back to their old spot.

Ok Wolf on topic I personally think that Bungie should have tried this massive bucket of phail in the office and let their own people tell them how much it sucked before forcing the masses to eat a steaming pile of poo.

Quite honestly, the last reply author is more useful information than the OP name.

I agree. It may also lessen the complaints of "get out of MY thread if you don't agree with me".

I will miss the "last reply" in the files forum BIG time.

I just noted that in Private Groups while using the "Halo 3 Art 1" group skin, the founders name, founding date and RSS feed are overlaid against the title of the group.

For crying out loud your own Ninjas are complaining. That might be a hint you've failed.

I wouldn't call it failing, more like me not really agreeing and having a different opinion.
Maybe it's just me having a diferent taste, or not being used to things yet. But if there is some way to make things feel a bit less cluthered; much appreciated.

If people would have just read the stickies then we probably wouldn't have needed to come to this.

Could "groups" be hidden and "More posts by User" be by "Message User?" I'd check people's past posts more than what groups they belong to.

Stosh, myself, and runningturtle are looking into these sorts of changes right now. The nice thing about the web is that we can respond relatively quickly to feedback in a fairly transparent way.

The only things that I don't really care for/would like to see changed are the font size on the forum topic listings - make them a bit smaller, and the width of the same page. I think it would be a little less cramped-looking if it was a bit wider. That and the "posted by" and "last reply by" stuff that seems to be a common complaint. Other than that, it's the best site update in a while, in my opinion.

PyRo you missed my point completely, I was saying their complaints should count. In fact I was saying the fact that they're complaining should convince Bungie to go back to the old way.

actually, now that I think about it, a sursory glance at the creator and last responder was an easy way for me to keep an eye out for bumpage.

Without both components, I will need to reply on what I see inside of threads and the spam reports.

Exactly. Plus, I will need to open the thread to see if anyone commented while I was away.

Anyone here feel claustrophobic?

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

You should have just blamed stosh for this crappy layout as soon as people started complaining and changed it back to save face.

How could you even get a thread with 10k pages? SPAM comes to mind.
I think that 100 pages is enough for a thread. After that, repeated ideas and posts appear, and the spam begins to build up.
Like Bones said, it's a private group. It's our "Hang-out thread" where we just talk about our day and hold off-topic conversations. There is no spam involved.

But lets get back on topic here..

then perhaps a monthly or weekly version of it may make things more manageable?
More like just plain annoying. We have prizes for people who make the first post on every 100th page, making a new thread every week will ruin the whole concept really. That thread is a trademark/landmark to my group :(

I understand this is getting a little personal, but my group is my home and my biggest concern. I'm just wondering if the page number thing will ever change back.

Just to add: Thank you for answering, or trying to answer, my questions.

Designer of the Coned emblem in Halo Reach

With sig sizes most likely gonna be fixed and 'Last post by' returning, I can make due with the new forum. Now if only I didn't have a pet peeve for thread titles not being in bold. It'd help if title font was a tad smaller too.

I can deal with the forum's new 'compact' design.

I love the design of the post boxes, but it feels too small with all the sticky stuff on the side.

1) Make the sigs back to the way they were before
2) Same with the stickies.
3) Allow the "Last Reply" back

Continue to post feedback that is in no way constructive and you will find yourself assisted in not having to experience this new design for an extended period of time.

Please, everyone else is being constructive and participating, you are pretty much the only person acting like a tool. What does that tell you?

It tells me that when I originally made comments somebody wasn't paying attention if you feel the need to ban me then do so, it isn't likely I'll be sticking around with the way this is being handled anyway.

There is a problem with the pages as Halo2Girls stated earlier - when users are blacklisted their posts are censored. If 10 or more people are blacklisted, some of the newer pages do not appear.

When you viewing a thread, the grid background continues to go down while scrolling. Has it always been like that? Because I've never noticed it before.

Hey Achronos. Is there any way, since the pinned topic boxes kind of take up a lot of space, that we could have the option to open and close those boxes? Kinda like minimizing it into a small thin column? Than, this could expand the main body of the forum more. If the user wants to see the stickies, they could open it up again. This would be REALLY cool.
