On the first level in Halo in the easy and normal modes,you can break down A DOOR!JIHAAA! Much moore of that in Halo 2 and beautiful animations on the brakdown would bee very satisfying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're freakin out about doors, you should look at the Half-Life 2 vids @ Gamespot. Some of the environmental interaction is almost disgusting.

Yeah, I wish they could've implemented destructible environments in the first game. If they had more time, they probably would have. I'm not going to complain though, because the first game was bad ass.

There was already some breakable stuff in the E3 2003 demo (a year ago), when the MC threw the nade down below between a bunch of Grunts the "tables" (can't be precise on what it exactly was) got blown to pieces. Also cars got blown up and those "boxes" (I can't be more clear in this case either) where some Covenant are hiding behind get blown up.

One can only imagine how far they've progressed now, a year later.
