3 round bursts are always less accurate (when looking at the point of impact vs point of aim) than single shots. That is how it works with real burst fire weapons. The reason there is a burst is because it is counting on that inherent inaccuracy and spread to increase the possibility of a hit when aiming at moving targets in combat conditions.

Knowing when a member of Bungie responds to a topic is a great thing to know. In addition I would love to see a feature/logo that informed the community when a "ninja" responds to a topic.

Also, being able to click the "star" next to the topic and head directly to the Bungie members post would also be a great feature. I have been on a few other game forums and this feature is usually in place and implemented quite well.

Thanks.

They post in more than one place in a thread sometimes. How would we go about that?

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I think that between the whole team, we reply to too many topics for that feature to be worthwhile.

Since Bungie employees posting are more rare and special, the Golden Septagon is a good way to spot them. But if there were a..... I don't know, a "Salmon Marathon" symbol to mark threads where we post, you would see that "they're everywhere".

Agreed. Not only this, but I would also like to add on, that it would in all honestly, be a waste of time. I'm sure a few people see the golden Septagon, and automatically go to the thread and hunt down the reply. But others, myself included, are more of a 'meh'. After all, they're people and we are people. Their words have no more impact, or at least shouldn't have more impact, than that of a fellow user. Unless of course you want to see Frankie bash someone in the Halo 3 Forum. =P

But sure, why the hell not. But I'm not for the mod bit, see Recons post.

I have to respectively disagree on that front Recon Number 54. I believe having some sort of system to alert the community to responses from ninja's would be completely worth while.

I know alot in the Halo community foam at the mouth to have a response from anyone who can post in color, for this reason only the added feature would be worth it.

** Also do you have a thought to the ability to go directly to "Bungie responses" **

Edit: spelling

I suggested the mod thing a month ago+ and it was shot down.

The way the Bnet employee icon would work is it would only locate the FIRST post and then it would be up to the user to go from there.

Are you trying to show us how much you post, or just how much of a grumpy old man you always are?

The Frozen Minority; Bungie's real underground. The oldest members, the deepest controversy, walking infamy.

I don't know. What I would like to see is a 'action has been taken by Forum Ninja' symbol come up. Of course it would only be visible to other Ninja's and such, but I would like to know which threads were being patrolled.

Actually... what would be better is a similar feature they have on invisionfree forums. Basically there is a little list of usernames of Ninja's who are reading a topic. Like, at the top of the thread page or even the entire forum index it says "Ninja's Patrolling this forum/thread: Recon, Ash, TGP".

Again, only visible to Ninja's so people don't realise the best time to spam the place to oblivion.

Recon, i understand your unwillingness to have a "ninja alert" icon. And by understanding it i accept it; By accepting it i therefor agree with it...to a degree :)

Now. To your point of the Septagon icon linking to the their post. - There is an easy way that has already been stated in this thread but i feel needs to be stated once again...Link it to the first Bunige post in the said thread. It is quick. It is easy.

Thanks for your time responding and sharing ideas so far.

I agree with Perry. Part of the effectiveness of the Mod Club is that we don't exactly know where they are, so they can appear everywhere. If there is a way to know where they post, people will start to see certain patters, then it will forever be a game of cat and mouse between jerks and Mod Club. I wouldn't want to have to engage in that extra game if I were a Mod, and I don't think they would either. Although, for the purposes of helping the Mods know where each other are at, that would be worthwhile. It seems as though it would open the lines of communication even more.

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

I think it needs to be known that Ninjas are normal people too with lives outside of bungie. They are not bungie employees and do not have any insider information. They work as volunteers and although they have flashy avatars and salmon text they are just like you and me and just because of their priviledges they should not set off alarm bells when they post.

Yes some may be more insightful but we do not wish to promote elitism and I sincerely doubt Ninjas like the unnecessary attention they get as it is. Sometimes I think they would like to be able to post without everyone in the thread quoting and agreeing with them.

With all this in mind I think the Ninja symbol should remain out, that and it would mean every topic would have one next to it!

Actually judging by the way people are treating eachother in the halo 3 forum I would say they deserve more respect much more. While people are at it they sould show more respect towards eachother too but hell this is Bnet so things never cease to amaze me, especially the immaturity of some that post here.
