Where is it? I can't find it where it should be, of course that shouldn't be where to look but....

Can't find it, although there's a Halo CE patch :(.

It was either moved or deleted when the New New Hawtness arrived. When I was looking for it a few months ago, I found the patch for Halo CE on halomaps.org, but I have yet to find the patch for the standard version.

EDIT: Are you sure that you still need it to play? I can't find my disc right now to try install it on my PC with Vista, but the Trial Version works fine.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

I've never had to download any specail fix to run Halo PC on my Vista PC. Just the plain old 1.07. Was there actually a specail vista patch ever? I've never heard of it.

Edit: From the site above posted: "Note: This patch is ONLY FOR users running Halo CE on the beta releases of Windows Vista (formerly Windows code name "Longhorn"). "
So I guessed they fixed the issue with Vista before Vista was officially released.

There was no "patch" as such for Vista. When the VisaRC's were first introduced, the compatability checker used to flag up a warning window that Halo was not compatible with Windows Vista. However, the message itself was incorrect as it WAS compatible.

The solution was to download two .dll files to replace the ones in the halo directory. All that did was to stop the message from appearing in the first place.

The final relase of Vista corrected this problem.
