I love XBL to death, but I have two complaints (more annoyances than anything).
* Harsh language
* Voice Filters and the annoying idiots who use them.
I have no respect for the morons who constantly use the F-bomb in just about every sentence, and there are too many of them out there. I don't really care about some of the more mild profanities, like damn, hell, -blam!-, etc. I use those ones myself when I get frustrated on XBL. But the people who say the F-word all the time really piss me off; by constantly using such a harsh word they only show that they (a) are morons and can't think of a milder, yet equally effective curse to use, and (b) think they sound all tough and intimidating because they say it. Well, first of all, you don't sound tough, you just sound like a moron with an extremely limited vocabulary. Second, you're not intimidating anyone, as XBL is virtual and not physical. Thrid, you're just showing that you lack the cognitive thought required to string together a varied array of words into a comprehensible, intelligent sentence.
...And then there's the voice filter morons/"headset spammers." These are the retards who have the little kid or robot voices and babble on about nothing, or try and sing songs or do something else that just comes off as extremely annoying. It explains why the country has such low test scores.
And yes, I'm aware that you can turn the voice chat off. I turn it on sometimes when I'm playing with a group over at my house on Rumble Training because some people say really stupid stuff that's fun to make fun of, even if we don't have XBL communicators. But almost every time I have it on when I do other stuff by myself, it never gets used like it should: team communication, some trash talk, and the rare witty joke that I've only seen manifested once. Instead, it's just spam full of F-bombs and annoying people.
