Subject: Does anyone remember this layout?

Posted by: Captain K Mart
I have to say, I was a big fan of the consistent divisions between the thread title, who posted it and when, unlike now where it's all a big jumble side by side. The sliding thing at the bottom, can't say I miss it much. Of course, the blue version was a marked improvement over the gray one before it. Although it was much more peaceful back then, back when the threaded view of the forums actually worked and wouldn't have caused major problems until several thousand people joined.

Yeah, it was a lot more peaceful.. Now everyone are just at eachothers throats for some reason. It's strange.

Uh, guys, your posts are almost exactly as wide as they were before. We checked.

That said, we're going to move the sidebar to the left to match the rest of the site and make for easier reading.

But people complaining about the space their posts get are complaining about imagined space, not real space.

It will never be the same.

I remember that layout, I'd been here nearly 2 Years until they changed FROM that layout to the other one. I so should have stuck with one account...

But multiply two imaginary lengths together and you get a negative area... so in effect people are complaining about gaining space.

Maths!

Anyway, do you remember x version of the site? X version was so much better than Σ(x+1 to ∞) versions.

why does that make it any less relevant? if it feels to small, it is too small.

Seems like so long ago. I hated that layout. That was back when I had dial-up and anytime I moused over something that would expand all hell broke loose and my pc basically froze for about 3 minutes.

Bring Back Head to Head!!
Does it really matter how many people play it as long as you dont have to maintain servers?

yeah seems like the middle ages since that one.

You say tomato; I say potato.

This version would be perfect if two things would change.
1) bring back the "so-so posted last in this thread" thing. It was an easy way to see if anyone had replied after you.
2) I'm sick of having to click the group name to go to the forum page. Why cant the header take me back?
