That sounds like the worst book ever written. Dialogue like some third-rate fan fiction.

Dialogue like he was just doing a summary...could that be it!? I don't know!

Yup. Imagine that, he survived. Now, listen to what they say in the armory on Halo 2. Bungie makes a joke out of everyone wondering just how Sgt. Johnson survives.

Read the post you moron - it says " Taken from First Strike " , i.e. a direct quote.

Well, I misread, if you feel the need to flame someone for it then be my guest, just know you're missing out on a good book.

No, I wasn't intending to flame anyone, except maybe the Author of First Strike - let's be honest, a reputable author is unlikely to be willing to write a book based on a computer game.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

No, Kroenen was right. It was a summary. Don't flame unless you know what the hell you're talking about.

yeah, the book explains the ordeal johnon went through to get off Halo

can you explain the ordeal, I'm to lazy and broke to buy and read the books

Taken from First Strike pg. 243-245

"The Sgt. survived." she said. "The only human to have direct exposure to the Flood meta-organism and walk away."
"I know," the MC whispered. "I'm not sure how he survived. How could anyone live throught that?"
"That's the simple part.
She tapped a key, and the Sgt.'s medical records flashed on screen.
"See, here?" She touched a file dated three years before. "He was diagnosed with Boren's syndrome."
"I haven't heard of it." the chief said.
"I'm not surprised. It's caused by high-yield plasma. Like the burst released by a Covenant plasma grenade.
Apparently, the Sgt. captured a crate of plasma grenades during the covie seige of Paris IV. He used them all. And recieved a twelve-hundred rad dose of of radiation as a bonus."

(yada, yada, yada)

Basically Sarge's syndrome screwed with the electrical setup of his nervous system, thus making him "taste bad" to the Flood. He then escaped in a Pelican with the chief, but that's another story.

You're the real turkey here - " taken from..." with a page reference means it IS a quote; if you were doing a summary you should have said so. Don't flame me until you work out what the hell you're on about, MC's Arse goblin.

By the way, Kroenen started the flaming.

I accidentally read "First Strike" first, but if you would've read through it, you would've found out how he survives. a aboutHAlo being a computer game^ it originated on the Xbox.
