I'd like to buy some more and I've seen in shops different types like PC2000, PC3000. This worries me alot as I have never seen what type of RAM my compter needs as It isn't displayed anywhere. So does anyone know of any programs that can find this out or any other way.

The best way to find out is to open it up an take a look. Im going to be doing the same thing this week.

Since you don't know, I'm assuming it's a pre-assembled store bought.
Crucial will tell you.

open it up remove your stick of ram (its not hard just 2 clips top and bottom)
then have a look at the white sticker that is on the side of it and that will tell you what ram it is

Go to the Windows command prompt and type: CHKDSK. This will tell you everything about your computer... i think
