hey i just got this great idea, instead of having to press Refresh everytime while on the forums, why not just have it up date in real-time?
What do you guys think?

I think the internet would explode. The Halo 3 Forum would move way too fast.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

You'd need a fiber optic cable the diameter of Foman's walls-o-text to service enough bandwidth to support something like that. No thank you.

Hmm one that takes up a lot of bandwidth and 2 that concpet is flawed at best on Ogame.

Scathing sarcasm aside, I agree with ol' elmicker on this one. A forum is for topical discussions. True discussions don't require an real time update everyone someone posts. I think we can leave all the real time refreshing to the chat rooms, which don't have to be about a specific topic at all times.

If the Bungie forums did that, I'd leave and never come back. I'd also delete all java apps on my PC just for good measure.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

I would say that since refreshing is not that much of a task, real time updates would not be be really necessary.

...And yes the Halo 3 forum would explode.

Nobody would ever be able to post in the topic that they wanted. When someone's about to click on a topic, another one would pop to the beginning and he'd click on the wrong one.

Oh noes! My internetz are asploded!

In each thread, maybe, but in the forum index, probably not. It would move so fast you probably couldn't even click and select a topic.

My brain would explode from astronomical real-time nothingness from little kids on the Halo 3 forums.
