Subject: Has the Member ranking system affected your behaviour?

I don't see this changing my attitude anytime soon. I was, and always will be mature and modest on these forums, and it will take greater temptation that a change of "hats" to alter this.

It's just like the cake. These "hats" are a lie!

At the end of the war. Nothing remains but a few Spartans. We are the only ones left. We are the Last Defence.

I have a fancy smanshy nametag now. I feel like an elementary school hall-monitor lol.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

Not one bit, I see no reason for it to aswell. To a degree though, it may discourage spammers and trolls, which is a great thing for everyone.

That would be great, but one look at the Halo 3 Forum and it just seems unlikely.

Not really - I've always behaved when it comes to the public forums and I don't see that changing just because my rank changed.

I like to think of myself as the easter bunny, leaving treats for people who actually read the thread.

no - i only realized i was heroic a little while ago (about 3 minutes), but i don't see how it matters

it's like katana armor - it may seem special, but only you care

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Somewhat. I have always tried to be the best member that I can be but receiving "Heroic Member" has given me a sense of being rewarded. I really appreciate the role (even though it is automated for all we know) and I don't want to lose it.

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

Yes, as it should. If one is good in the forums, then their member rank should reflect that for all to see how good they are.

I'm still not clear on weather the rankes are deturmined automaticly based on how many "points" you earn from moderators giveing you them for being good, or just by a moderator comeing along and saying "hemm. he's been here a while and has lots of inteligent clear helpfull posts. I think I'll promote them."

American recoil, were you promoted to Heroic recently, because if you were, I hate to burst you bubble, but it might have been the glitch that's been promoting everyone. Unless you've got conformation on it or it happened a while ago, I wouldn't get hopes up. Just saying.

If you invite me to your group you will be blocked.

I would have to say yes. Ask Sniper McGee, before th Trust System was implemented I was getting banned a few times a month, almost. Afterwards, well, I'll let my member title tell you.

I like being a Legendary Member, and I'm going to try to be good enough to keep it.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

I have found myself less tolerant of rule breakers but I think that has more to do with the annoyance that they cause than it does with my title. However I have also looked at what other members with lower title have done in the short time that they have been here and wonder why I have yet to think of something cool and interesting for the community to benefit from.

July 15, 2008... The day the timer stood still.

I feel like it is making me live up to my rank. If I'm to be a legendary member, then I must be mature about it and give a good example on how to become a legendary member.

Yes. I bow and scrape to all members above me, who haughtily command me to do their bidding and to cater to their every whim. They are, after all, better human beings than I.

They deserve not only my deference and respect, but also my soul. To them I present my heart and hand, to be used at will and then thrown away like a dead rat.

I've got your hand, but I'm still waiting on that heart.
Ninety percent of the people who read that have no idea what you're talking about.
