The Flood and The Borg , two types of aliens that act much the same way. So if they were able to face each other who would win and why would they win?

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Borg because Borg are smart. What with the Assimilation and all. Resistance is futile.

The Flood are smart also, in the first game they were trying to fix the "The Pillar of Autumn", remember? But I do think resistance is futile for the Flood, because unlike the Borg, the flood can't adapt and imporve. This how the Borg well win

The Flood. Why? They're the -blam!- Flood!!! They are one body and one mind. They cannot be killed and will sweep endlessly across the universe infecting all life forms in it's way. The Gravemind (it scared the -blam!- out of me) is the one mind that controls all the Flood. THey are unstoppable.

Gravemind??? Oh... you mean Andre 2, i like "her" better in Little shops of Horrors, but i do think "she" and "her" flood is no match to the Borg Queen and her Borg.

MENTAL NOTE: Man they are to much the same.

The Flood...cause I know nothing about Star Treks except for a couple movies I saw. I saw one with the Borg...and the Flood would win cause they're just plain scarier :(

The Borg would win, not because of the whole "Resistance is Futile" and "Adaptation" crap, but because of their physiology. All Borg are half machine, which can't be controlled by the Flood. Plus, I've always picture the Borg brain working more like a digital computer rather than an organic, sentient nerve center.

I think both are equally creepy, though.

The borg, no doubt. Their technology is better, and I believe that each individual unit is much more intelligent than any individual flood.

Your worst nightmare. Half organic, half machine. Basically a group of "assimilated" hive-mind aliens who roam the galaxy looking to add species technological and biological diiferences to their own. They assimilate thru nanoprobes injected into the victim's bloodstream. The nanoprobes then begin to form technological devices to the victim's body, eventually causing a loss of all individuality.

More info.

They are a Star Trek-based, technologically outstanding collective similar to the Flood - except instead of biological infection they infect things through technology. Anything they come across that they deem useful they add to the Borg arsenal. Aside from some later Voyager episodes, the Born posed the most dangerous threat to the Federation because of several factors:

1) Their ships and personel were near impossible to damage. Everything borg has an adaption ability, and since most Star Trek weapons were energy-based they operated on specific frequencies. The borg were always able to quickly adapt to whatever frequency was being used and become totally immune.

2) They have the largest wealth of knowledge. Like the Covenant, they are not innovative but imitative. They are great at utilizing the technologies of species or race they encounter.

3) The Borg drones are decent combat soldiers, highly efficient workers, and individually intelligent.

4) The Borg are controlled by a hive mind, meaning they are more efficient and tactically are much more capable.

5) Like technology, any humanoid creature they come across they can assimilate into the collective. By inserting nanites into the victims they are made ready to have larger intrusive technologies integrated into their bodies. They lose their previous identities and become Borg.

Their classic ship is a large, black cube. It looks as if it was constructed at random because it has no definate hull, but rather an interwoven set of components. The ships are very large and very deadly.
