I've had halo 1 PC for over a year now, and I've learned to live with the bad graphics that occur due to my video card not haveing pixel shader support. I gave up looking for an alternative war to making the graphics better WITHOUT buying a new video card a long time ago. But, I read somewhere that you can sometimes download drivers that can come with pixel shader support. Then I came across this:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/ShaderMark.sht ml

I really hope this might help my problem, but I'm not a genius when it comes to computers, so can anybody tell me If this, or any other file I download will make Halos craphics so less sucky?

1. I doubt it'll work.
2. Capitalize the topic correctly.
3. Save some money, buy a new graphics card if you want awesome graphics.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

There is no such thing as drivers that add pixel shader support, it's either done in hardware in which case the drivers wouldn't add anything and the only other case would be software in that case it doesnt matter what your graphics card is.

In any case thats a benchmarking program. Since benchmarks are used everywhere outside of computers it should be fairly common knowledge that it's completely unrelated to your request.

Anyways, if you want better graphics buy a new video card. There is NO way around it.

If its a cost issue you dont have much to worry about. A decent video card can be had for 100 dollars off newegg. Of course it depends on your current specs but if you look around it shouldnt be too hard to find something decent in your limits.

Thanks, I thought drivers wouldn't work but I wanted to be sure if there was anything I could do for the graphics without buying anything. Its not that I'm someone who can't afford anything for his computer, but I'm in Grade 11, and we're visisting Japan this summer. I need to save every penny, so I wanted to fix the graphics without having to spend money. I guess I'll just have to wait until after the trip.
