I wouldn't think it half bad of gearbox to make the port. They did do a crap job on Halo PC, but that was mainly because of the time spent getting online functionality to work in the game engine (I'm not sympathizing for gearbox). Halo 3 has all the stuff it "needs" laid out, offering more time for tweaking (of course we saw what that turned into for Halo 2 Vista).

If your hungry, whats better, spam (metaphor only works if you hate spam, if not, your weird), or no food at all?

I'm there but, man this is really starting to sound like communism.
Long live the MAW.

Corned Beef :P

Anyhow, if Gearbox is tasked with porting it; personally I can put optimism into it. They have grown into a bigger company now, and with that expierence. I significantly enjoyed Halo 1 PC, and even though the port had some issues; I didn't care. It was one of the first real FPS I came by, and the story gripped me like few others before it has.
They know what they're doing, and arn't just a bunch of new-employes sitting in the basement (Hired gun anyone?) Thats how I always visualized Hired Gun anyway, the .ASS picture proved my imagination correct. :P

I wouldn't mind Gearbox doing it as long as Microsoft don't make any daft mandates this time around.

Thats the problem, Microsoft will always make decisions that will hamstring the game. Forcing modem net code in the first one, forcing LIVE and controller centric interface in the second. God knows what they will force on the third, i'm sure they'll shove LIVE down our throats again even though it is a total failure on the PC.

Halo3PC will be the last Microsoft Studios game I purchase EVER! Its a shame the Halo IP stays with M$. But I can't wait to see how much the next game set in the Halo world will suck.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

With how H2v turned out, I'm surprised anyone would consider buying another game from these yokels.

I hope Gearbox is really making it. But Microsoft lost their passion to make working products, now they just make broken products. I WILL NOT BUY WINDOWS 7. HALO 3 PC, HALO 4, OR ANY M$ PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!

Darkness is Light

Light is darkness

The same but apart

so wont buy a 360 or any new games for it. Since all of that has to go through M$. Not to mention a new computer that has windows. Since thats a M$ and some PC games, wow man your life is going to suck on terms of video games and computers.

If Gearbox did port it, I'd have a huge mental celebration.
