I'm certifiable.

It's almost certainly because you have a "crap graphics card". I bought my system with game-play in mind, and with my card (Radeon 9600PRO) I can get better graphics than the Xbox. Now, the video card cost almost as much as an Xbox, but I use it for more than gameplay so that's alright. Or so I keep telling myself...

The xbox has way better graphics. The pc is a -blam!- to run and it still slows down when you get in a crowded area. The xbox has co-op play and split-screen. It's smoother and is just plain funner.

Depends on what kind of computer you have.

IF YOU HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH PC, THENIT WOULD WHIP THE XBOX'S VERSION OF HALO SO HARD, IT WOULD SCREAM FOR ITS MOMMY. BUT STILL, I GOTTA ADMIT, HALO IS A GOOD GAME, EVEN THOUGH I OWN A PS2.( I AM GETTING A NEW GRAPHICS CARD ATI RADEON 9800 XT, AND HALO FOR PC).

well of course it does, considering an xbox is only a pentium 3 733mhz with a nvidia 2 gpu. If what rumors say are true, the Xbox will be insane when it goes to a MAC G5 processor (I know Bungie is owned by microsoft, its just a rumour).

You have a crappy video card. You probably have an onboard Intel Chipset graphic video which is rather nasty hardware since its not even as power as the Radeon 9200se. If you want to play Halo PC with full power, you best have to get an updated CPU, motherboard, ram, and video card. I suggest getting any video card no lower then the radeon 9600 XT since anything below that is considered junk. Or to be cheap, stick with the Xbox except you won't be able to benefit from the keyboard and mouse control along with higher resolution then the PC since it can only go up to 480P.

Depends on what type of CPU, video card, and amount of ram that will directly effect Halo. Thats the problem with why PC games are often unstable because of different companies make the computer parts.

PC graphics pwn the xbox by far . I compared them split screen style on my 42 inch lcd HDTV and the PC one looked much nicer at 1024x768 than the xbox did (what res is runs at i have noo idea) . Yes you do have to have a nice computer (fast with lots of memory) to run it right. No it will not run right on your mommies dell. Tell her to upgrade to a nicer Graphics card and get in the kitchen, make me pot-pie DAMMIT!!

The Xbox runs at 640x480 on an HDTV, and 640x480 interlaced on a regular TV.

yeah but if u run it on a hi res crt screen ata about 1200 x 1600 it kicks the tvs arse
+ the tv onlt runs at 40 fps and the comp runs at nething up to ike 70 -85

have just set up a p4 3.01gig 640 meg ram and a xfx 5800 128meg graphics card and t kicks ares and beats the tv hans down

The deciding factor between xbox and pc is whether you favor graphics over community. You get a different vibe if you have three friends fragging right there with you on the xbox, but you get swept away when you look at the beautiful texturing on the PC.

Of course, if you are really rich and can afford 16 state of the art computers, then you have the best of all worlds.

Someone start a poll on it, and see what people think, because no Xboxer can say they have better graphics then a computer, as a comp screen has more pixels then a tv! Unless of course you somehow manage otherwise. But we want to talk everyday reality here, not hypothetical possibilities.

I agree with AlphaAndOmega. XBOX is better for campaign because it has better graphics. PC is for multiplayer. XBOX has a fun multiplayer but on the PC you always have a guaranteed game (and a lot more people).

if you think that the xbox version of halo is better than the pc version then you better have your head looked at. i have a AMD athlon64 3200+ processor a gig of memory and a ati radeon 9800XT card with 256 MB of memory. i have also tweeked my rig to the ultimate as well. it doesn't even know slow down or frame rate drop. and halo looks feels and plays amazingly

Yeas, my graphics card has been transfered from my old windows 95 to the xp so....I already won halo 4 the xbox on ebay anyway. Hehe the guy at the computer vendor said that we had a pretty good graphics card so he didnt replace it...I reckon the pc version is only good for online which is amazing.

That's because a TV is, at best, 640x480 resolution. (It's probably half that, but interlaced to fake a higher res.) Try hooking it up to a 17" monitor and basking in the glory.
