...In the optimatch forum?

Think about it, if only gold members can access the forum and they behave so poorly that they get perma-banned because of their actions in Optimatch, wouldn't it make sense to also to take away their matchmaking privileges?

I don't believe that this should be used for trivial matters such as three day bans or even month long bans but it should be reserved for the most egregious offenses that warrant a perma-ban.

I know that it would be hard to add more emphasis on someone's behavior in just one forum, and it would be tricky to enforce, but that didn't hinder bungie from requiring gamertags for optimatch, in effect adding more emphasis to that forum.

Basically I think that if someone cannot behave in the matchmaking forum they should not have the privilege of playing in matchmaking.

Bungie.net =/= Xbox Live

In regards to bans.

Exactly.

Bungie.net's Code of Conduct does not equal Xbox Live's.

I am not talking about Xbox Live, I am strictly referring to Matchmaking.

I am a Floodian

Eh... only if it's like a perma ban that's after multiple bans previous. Even then I wouldn't be so sure if I liked that idea.

Matchmaking requires Xbox Live to use. Otherwise I don't know what you mean.

He means Matchmaking, not XBL. They're two separate things. Matchmaking is run by Bungie servers, and people get the "Banhammer" all the time. This removes their Matchmaking privileges, but they can still play in custom games as well as other XBL games.

Matchmaking is all Bungie.

Achilles made a thread about this not too long ago (2 months maybe...). Anyways, he suggested that if the ninja's ban someone here, it would go over to Matchmaking too.

Achronos said no.

Here's that thread.

It's a good read.
