What do you think are the best sniper spots in B Gulch? I like sniping in the bushes cause nobody can see you unless you tracer fire gives you away.

first of all, sniping is for -blam!- who cant handle hand-to hand combat.
so i dont have one

No sniping is for being a support for those who want to fight close range. Gosh you people calling others "-blam!-" just proves your not mature enough to admit you got killed by one.

Anyways. My favorite sniping spot varries. I never use the same spot twice in one match off. That's what snipers are supposed to do.

My favorite place to snipe in blood gulch is either "bin laden's cave" up by the blue base in the shadows. Or in any of the bushes like you said. Blood gulch is the ONLY level i snipe on because it's so wide open and you're vulnerable to attack from enemy snipers when you try to go close combat.

Sniping is for laying down cover, not because there's -blam!- out there that don't want close combat. I do my fair share of sniping, but I do a hell of a lot of close combat.

Many a time I have bin charging for the flag and boom, a trial from behind me nails a far off enemy threat. Sometimes it is that important that I probably couldn't get close without cover (like a sniper taking out a charging enemy in a Scorpion tank is just one example).

Sniping is a part of the game, get good cover, or got shot

snipers are people who can adapt to any situation if it is place upon them ex: i am a sniper (hence the name) and i sniper some one (ouch. they die) then i see a red blip on the motion tracker and its right behind me so i whip out my plasma rifle and kill them too, so basically REAL snipers are good in any situation...they are NOT -blam!-

You stupid people who call snipers -blam!-... Ide like to see you shoot a person going full speed across the level in a ghost... And when you play on teams your sniper probably saves your ass a thousand times over.

On Blood Gulch I dont have a faveorite spot. I shoot from wherever i go. Hint: Dont stay in one place

Passenger side of a warthog. No one ever expects the "empty" warthog. Works even better with a rockt launcher though.

Well I snipe in the Blood Gulch Tower. Or the top of the level on the huge ridge. It's kind of a glitch.

I snipe where and when I can, however I do not like the whole out of level tricks and thus I stay away from them.

I like the corner of the red side because you can see every other sniper point and you have to rocks to cover you and if your spotted you can wait with frag nades and a shotgun

I preferably snipe in the hills where the two sides meet. Like the center part.

I like sniping cause it takes skill, or at least more than running up and shooting people in the skull with a shotgun or cracking them in the back with an assault rifle.

Oh, I like the slope by blue base - to use only once - , pride rock (the hill behind red base) and the neat lil' hole behind blue base ( to the right facing away from the teleporter, between the middle of the wall and the ledge on the far right ). 8 )

I have 2 spots that I like go through the blue portal and the get a ghost and hold a and drive up the really steep wall and turn it sideways and get out and snipe. another drive a ghost up the hill behind the red base and then the really steep part drive up it and get out and snipe.

dude, what kinda description and grammar was that. Anyway, i am all out sniper and i agree w/ all of ur points us snipers do save ur ass like millions of times during a round. When i sniper in BG, i cant remember off hand what side it is on, but i do it outta the cave enterance w/ the rock by it, it is kinda on a hill. that way you got a rock to hide behind, one of the bases is close by for reload, and if you get overrun you can run into the cave and grab an overshield. It all works out quite nicely, it also helps to have a shotgun secondary.. heh.
i also agree w/ the big hill on one of the far sides of the level, it has that rock to hide behind and the slope is to steep to walk up ecept for one path up the side. Another spot i do it from is that same bush mentioned before. I also sometimes go for the base and snipe outta one of the side doors. fwew.. that all..

I bounce back between both bases along the shaded side (The sunny side sucks). If you're playing with anyone who is decent then you better be moving at all times. If you sit and snipe you'll be dead within 3-4 shots.

As for pistols... (it's a sniping weapon) I'll use that alot as I get close to the bases or if I hear some idiot use the transporters.

The biggest problem with sniping in BG is running out of ammo. Use your pistol more than you'd normally do and you should be alright.

I only snipe when i have to when theres to many others so i'd say by the caves just around in that area i killed everyone before they saw me (even though they could look at the smoke stuff

I think anyone who thinks snipers are softies who can't handle 'real combat' should look at the scoreboard. If anything, I believe the sniping element takes a stronger character, sitting for a good 30 seconds and having 5 seconds to make the 3 kills makes it all worth it. Better than running up at them with an AR.

I used to play BG with my brother, and we'd be on the seperate bases. Sometimes when he's got his groove. I'd merely have to jump up in the air from one base and he'd headshot me from the other. I have a good look at the distance and wonder how.

I really hate people who call other gamers -blam!- because of their style of play, a successful team/clan (real life military forces) need people to take on different rolls, for example you would have a few infantry, a sniper and a rocket soldier drivers (armoured support) stealth assassin etc. So those "-blam!-" got a better idea of what they're doin than you so sooner or later your gonna catch a bullet from a sniper who is part of a team that works well together, you'll be killed cos you'll be exposed having left your team behind in search of glory, what you'll find is a rapidly spreading pool of your own blood!!

Team players we know we're the best!!!

I'm practicing to get better like I am on Syphon Filter 1-3 at sniping. However I like grabing
active camo and sniping from mid field, and at other times in CTF the top of my base, but
my aim is so darn bad. That's why i'm practicing. However if zooming in with a pistol is
considered sniping then i'm the man!
