Yeah, well, unfortunately not everyone thinks it is important. Really, they shouldn't have to. However, if they don't care people can't understand them, then the message must not be important anyway, right?

Everybody wants to work at Bungie!
I want to be on the webteam. And make glorious golden posts.

It just so happens to be what I like to do. I'm like someone I said earlier - I'm not necessarily aiming for it, but I'm going to try to get to that level skillwise, and then I might as well go for a Bungie position.

I was going for the Web team too, though Achronos told me there are only 2 people on it. I started learning HTML/CSS and whatnot about 4 Years ago. I got interested in PHP about 6 Months ago and I'm now moving onto other things. C, XML, Javascript, Ruby etc.

I'm currently undertaking a Web Design course at College, once I'm done I'll no doubt do some kind of Programming course.

Just like Zag, working for Bungie is not something I'm aiming for. I have other plans these days. That said, if I were granted the oppertunity, I would take it. Working for Bungie seems like pretty much one of the coolest jobs possible. But lack of any useful skill for the gaming industry, and living in a whole different country kinda puts a damper on things.

*sad face*

One word: solidarity.

I'm sure there's room for both of us. Companies need many driven accountants to succeed.

"Inveniam Viam Aut Facium" _~

if ( !now ){ when(); }

I'd want to be the fire in the heart, ice in the veins, ghost in the machine. I would want to be a tool for world domination! I'd want to be the particle that causes critical mass.

Or I'd start as a general programmer, with sights on technical lead. My only purpose in life would be to refine all my thought and ideas to create code that would revolutionize character animation. I would train artificial neural networks to breath life into what ever model embodied my soul. I would create character so life like and real, you would feel true loss of a friend at their demise.

Then as reward for the acceleration of world domination, I would get to own, and control the arctics!

Yeah I thought I work for Sega or Nintendo, but I decided that I'm going to work for Bungie because I won't have to move far away and I will see what I can do during the future. Oh I can't wait to get in college and graduate!

  • 02.07.2008 12:56 PM PDT

I would love to as well. However, the doctors path is for me. Probably more money that way ;)

Have you ever seriously thought about joining the Bungie team? I personally have, and I can't wait until I graduate from college so I can apply. Anyone else thinking about this?

Post what you want to do if you became an employee.
Mine would have to be Multi player Designer.
Well. I personally am trying to tell myself. Joining the gaming industry is'nt fun at all. Mainly because of the competitiveness in my mind. I just don't see a real need to do so. I'm mainly focused on getting a good job that pays very well. So I can be successful. But personally. If their were a company I would consider working for. It would be no doubt in my mind Google. I hear that is one of the best to work for. Have you seen their campus in mountain view, California? that thing is huge!

I wouldn't mind being a level designer. Especially for Halo or Pathways into Darkness!

Infection in Halo 3 isn't zombie killing; it's ethnic cleansing. Have you ever noticed that these "zombies" are just black Spartans?

Working for Bungie has been an ambition of mine for a couple of years now, I started seriously looking into game design after playing Halo 2 and Bungie has always been the games company to work for, for me atleast.

Right now my studies aren't focussed too directly on the games industry but there's always university to straighten that out before I move to the US, eh?

Nothing really professional (used in the industry) is free, as a general rule, but you can grab a 3ds Max trial off of the Autodesk website. It's good for 30 days. Buying a student license ($100 I believe) is worth it, if you decide you really like it.

Anyway, I don't think I'd join Bungie even with the chance. I want to make my own games. :P Working at Bungie would be fun, but it wouldn't allow me to do exactly what I wanted. Besides, I'm much better at some managerial positions than certain types of grunt work. I'm only so good at modeling.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

Working for Bungie? Well certainly not developing the games themselves, I would suck at every single job involving making a game, something else however I may do.

But the answer to your question? Most likely not.

I'm working on several things for game design...
C++
Concept Art
Cinematics

Yes, I'm only 13, but I'm verrry ambitious!

That's awesome (that you are attempting all that). I can't stand the dullness of learning coding. I like 3d stuff though. Well, I think it'd be fun to design games, but I'd have to move, and it's not my number one job. The place I'd want to work would be WETA...will never happen though...
