Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

New planet
A photo. of possibly a new planet was relesed today. It's way larger than Jupiter. Now we might have 10 planets. O_O Just wanna hear your thoughts about this, and possibly disscuss more science?

First of all. it's not a 10th planet. it's 225 light years away. not even objects that are thought to be planets in the kuiper belt are 1 light year.

It's beyond our solar system, though, so we still have nine.

Do they have any other info on this planet? Is it gas or rock? Does it have moons? Can I have a cookie?
Answer me!!!11

Well, I don't really know. Look around on the site, at the bottom of the artical there is always related links, so maybe you could go to one of those?

Distance doesn't matter on calling a planet a planet. Pluto is in the Kuiper belt, and we call it a planet.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

I am laughing so hard right now.
1) That planet is not in our solar system. It is orbiting a failed star outside of our solar system.
2) This is hardly even big news; we've shown that there are planets beyond our solar sytem already, we just haven't been able to take an actual picture of it.
3) In our own solar system's Oort cloud we have Sedna, which is 3/4 the size of Pluto, Planet X (literally, I don't however know the size), and a speculative Planet Y, which is likely to exist as well.

The possibility of a tenth planet has been known for years; only the photo is new.
