Since MC and other SPARTANS destroyed the Covenant docking station, how come there were A LOT of ships in the first Halo 2 Traler? (It seemed a lot due to me seeing all the nukes all over Earth's atmosphere). They decimated 400+ ships, so there shouldn't be that much. But since we destroyed a lot of them, we shouldn't have that many space battles, right? But it would be cool to be in a space battle, or to experience Slipspace travel, with a huge & long vibration as the ship speeds through space. Am I right or wrong? Tell me with your comments. Thanks.

Not necessarily. Though they did destroy a rather large number of Covenant spaceships, that doesnt mean there wouldn't be many outside of Earth, we have no idea the capacity of power that the Covenant have. For all we know, they could be far superior and have 20x the amount they sent to Earth.

As for slipspace travel, its usually relatively smooth, and a space battle, you might as well replay the Pillar of Autumn level from Halo 1. Not that it's a bad thing, just seems kind of pointless.

When they blew up Unyielding Heirophant, they only destroyed about 1/4 of the entire Covenant force. Meaning that the Covenant had 2000 capital ships.

Yeah, the prophet at the end of first strike said that the the destruction of those ships was just a minor set back. So, they must have a lot of ships still out there some where!

In the epilogue of FS they say that the homeowlrd is swarming with ships and a tiny rock couldnt even make it though the atmosphere. They would also have to gaurd their other homeworlds with about the same number of ships. They could probably sacrifice a few to destroy their enemy
