I have a question, am I able to record videos on my xbox, that get sent to bungie, and then be able to get the videos off bungie to my computer so that I have my own videos on my laptop.

No, sorry, the only way to get the videos is with a capture card. Geevee is still down I think and I know nothing about captures cards so maybe someone else can help there.

You can still publish the film in your file share via Halo 3 service record. You can't download them on your computer but you have other people download into their 360 so they can watch in Halo 3. =D

Like Coffey said, a service like Geevee or a capture card is required. I would highly recommend the latter since theyre easy to use and allows you to record whatever you want at any time. The capture cards/devices range from $50 and most, if not all, of the external ones are plug n´play, you will have to play in SD with most though.

Thats another great thing with Halo 3´s theater mode, now people dont have to record at all times to make sure that theyre not missing something. The only reason now for capturing while playing is to get the in-game dialouge, theater mode covers everything els and gives whoevers capturing the tools to edit angles etc.

Do you know of any ways of capturing in HD? I can't seem to find a device that will capture in HD I'm just tired of capturing in SD, posting vids online and having just a decent quality to them while seeing other people with great quality in their videos. Right now I'm using A/V Pyro by ADS technologies which is a great device but I don't think it captures HD just digital, because it does have the component hook up to it but I can't get it to capture correctly when i hook up my xbox to it. So anyway if you know of a device that just captures HD please let me know...thanks for the help.

Don´t trust the second card in the list, the other ones shows how much you usually have to pay for a hd-card. You can probably find cheaper cards on the market but theyre going to be expensive too so question is if its worth it.

Thanks Bodhi I had no idea how much they cost which kinda sucks...also i was wondering if you knew of any external ones kind of like dazzle instead of ones you have to install...only because im using a laptop...I'm sure it'll be just as expensive but I would like to see one and wait for the price to drop in the next few years hopefully.

My next question leading from this is how do these other people record better quality video than what I'm getting off of my xbox? Basically I'm using the ADS external device to record my videos off halo onto my laptop and then I usually post the edited versions online such as youtube. I know there's obviously going to be a difference between the footage saved on my HDD and whats posted on youtube but is there somewhere else i'm losing the quality as well?
