- Lag Free Gameplay (most of the time)
- Quickmatch/ Optimatch features
- Friends list (can see your friends online on any Xbox Live game) and send invites
- Scoreboards for almost every Xbox Live game (may not mean alot, but still a nice feature)
- Voice chat with the headset (every person on Xbox Live has a headset)
- Voice Chat via the Xbox Live Dashboard
- XSN (Xbox Sports Network - set up tournaments and track stats via XSNsports.com)
- Download new content for games (most of its free, only 4 games so far have Premium content)
- Send 15 second voice messages to people on your friends list
- Being able to see your friends list at Xbox.com
- Intergration with PDA's , getting friend invites on your Pocket PC and SPOT (Microsoft Watches)
- Xbox Live Aware (Being able to sign into Xbox Live and get friend invites when you are playing single player games)

Upcoming Xbox Live 3.0 features ---
- Clan support for games
- Mod support (Far Cry Instincts will have this)
- Intergration with MSN Messenger (see your friends list and accept invite over MSN Messenger)
- Xbox Live Arcade (download Retro games and card games and other types of fun party games like Bejewled!)
- Xbox Live Videophone (Sorta like Eyetoy, having video conversations with people over Xbox Live)

They're pretty much the same thing.

The only thing is that you need to make sure XBC is running the whole time, it lags more, and if you want all the stuff XBox Live has for XBC, you need to buy XBC Pro.

Which is cheaper then XBox Live, but I would rather use XBox Live, since my friends use it.

I agree with Live being the better of the two (by far for obvious reasons) However, I will add to this:
Live is run by microsoft, and xbconnect was created by some third party (maybe?) group of programmers/possible hackers: therefore, its much easier to send viruses or hack into xbconnect while in a game and threatening other players besides, isnt xbconnect basically a hacking program since it tricks your xbox into thinking the internets a LAN?. So then, Live = much much safer gaming.

Wheres my 2 cents?

im too tired to type all the reasons why XBL is better than XBC. and 50 buks a year for XBL is nothing even for a poor ass bumb that lives in a cardboard house under a bridge next to a nasty fish factory about to be blown up bye a nuke can afford, cus even he/she knows XBL is better than XBC.

it does remind me of the intro to ATHF. awsome show that and sealab 2021.

also more on topic i think that XBC is i good app. i dont play often so i like the free part. it doesn't have all the features but for the price its good. the lag gets annoying but if you have friends that are around you then its cool.

XBC was a good idea at the time cause u couldnt play halo online buy in halo 2 you dont even know if system link supports clans (since thats an xbox live function) and you dont even know if they will have a new system link system that wont let you play halo 2 over XBC i like XBC some of my best moments in halo come from there but they couldve been better like i wish i could of scared the -blam!- out of a flag carrier who didnt see me in my active camo you know how sweet thats gonna be the flag carrier is in the back of the base waiting for his own flag to be returned his vision goes a little fuzzy but he just thinks hes getting sleepy so he says whos there? over the microphone he hears footsteps and just freezes right before plasma sword appears and stabs his camping ass and someone yells IM RICK JAMES BIATCH

I played XBC and I thought it totally sucked. People must be cheating in those games cuz the host is always killing everyone in two hits, I buck shot dude in the head with a pistol at least a dozen times (I didn't miss one goddamn shot), he takes his pistol bucks me twice and WHAM I'M ALREADY DEAD! Later, I play with some guy whose got a shotgun, I had a shotgun too and I swear to god that I blasted him a kagillion times and he killed me in two frickin' shots!

I'd rather play Halo PC cuz nobody's a cheapskate like that, no real way to cheat. Plus there's way more vehicle levels than Halo Xbox. And Halo 2 will be so much better on Live, anyone who'd choose XBC over Live must be really damn cheap or sucks at the game and wants to make himself look cool by pulling off cheap kills. Screw that, I'm only playing on a level playing ground. If other people can kill me in two hits, I should be able to as well. Instead I have to put up with stupid bull-blam!- like this, screw that -blam!- I'm going XBL!
