]You say Crysis is over rated when you say Call of Duty 4 is going to remain on your hard drive for a long time? Please.
I've loved Portal, but never got to beat BioShock or Crysis, which is a shame as I think they're great. However, the most fun I've had in a while is Team Fortress 2. Personally, I think Valve should have made Team Fortress 2 much better considering they've had ten years to work on it, although I'm thoroughly enjoying the end product as it is (and that's on the 360 version with the corners cut).
Well, CoD isn't perfect by any means. The SP is too short (and, as someone said, the AI has a lot to be desired). But I've dropped a huge amount of time into that game, around 75 hours with my source team and TF2 and a little Crysis/Halo thrown in. I think the multiplayer is simply amazing. I could ramble, but it's more than worth the $40 cost of admission.
Crysis just isn't amazing Kim. Is it a solid shooter with some decent mechanics? Yes. But when you add in the terrible (for my system anyway) optimization that makes it look worse than other game on the market, no bug removal from EA (surprise Mother-Blam!-ers!), and the fact that it's JUST a solid shooter - It doesn't really discern itself from the pack.
TF2 was enjoyable not only cause of the art style, but a game play that was awesome. I'd never played TFC except for a few moments at work. I couldn't find any bugs, the community is vastly superior to Counter-Strike's, the whole shebang. Perfect? no. I would have liked to see a couple more maps, most definitely. lol unfortunately for my social life, gravel pit is simply 1337. I've poured 50+ Hours into it, only because because CoD had a rank system : D
I ordered Sins of a Solar Empire yesterday. I still haven't found a parallel for Homeworld when it came to strategy, and when you throw in a 4X formula I think I'm gonna cream my pants. Not only that, but Stardock is only selling it for 40 bucks! It's my V-day gift to myself.
Having played Gears on the PC, let me say that GFWL still sucks and that the controls take a solid fifteen minutes to get used to if you've played on the 360 extensively. Not only that, but mouse users get crippled : / However the graphics are slightly better, for what it's worth.
