Subject: The Health Pack System

One of my greatest regrets was that I wasn't into Halo from the get-go. I first got into Halo about a year after Halo 2 came out. Therefore, I don't know the craze that was associated with Halo 2's release, only Halo 3's.

Were there any people saying that they preferred the Health Pack system to the regenerating health of Halo 2 and 3 at the release of Halo 2? I personally like the Health Pack system better, and it is much more realistic. It also makes camping much less fruitful, because you don't just run out of ammo, you run out of health after a few waves of enemies trying to stop you.

So... did anyone prefer the Health Pack system to the regenerating health of Halo 2/Halo 3 when Halo 2 first came out?

I missed it when I first moved to Halo 2. In fact, it drove me crazy not seing it. And then it drove me crazy that I couldn't see my Marines' health while they rode passenger and gunner on vehicles. I adapted to it, and going back to the health pack.. is old school. But for the last two games, Master Chief is invincible as long as he hides once the shields go down. Curious. That's the benefit without health packs. The benefit with them and that style is that you can see how much you have, how much the team has, and it makes you look for them so you can survive. Creates different strategies, that's all.

That was never a factor, you're exaggerating laziness.
