these are the group tags for different screenshot photogrphy groups
originally the group: Ar7is7s of Halo had a few pics out with the tag {AoH} on them
then members of the group Screenshot Photographers (like myself) began posting a TON of photos with the tag [SP] on them... this is where it got big
these 2 groups are ***THE ORIGINAL TWO PHOTOGRAPHY GROUPS****, who initially put up these tags
now, smaller, recently created, and overall low quality (no i am not making assumptions, this is a TRUE FACT) groups are springing up all over the place... mainly to get to put tags on their photos
TIP is one of them (team ice photo) this group however is poorly organized, lacks experience among members and was created with few things in mind other than self promotion...
now more and more of these little groups keep popping into existence and there is seemingly nothing we can do to stop it...
here is a link to our group, the Screenshot Photographers
hopefully this helped...Wow. Now THAT is an impressive amount of hypocrisy packed into one post. And no, it doesn't "help."
I consider these "tags" to be nothing more than illegal group advertisements in the wrong forum and spam on top of that. The tags are merely attention-grabbers and for anybody to act outraged to the point where you are blatantly using this forum to insult users because they are in other groups besides yours and acting indignant that somebody else would tag their post (how dare anybody except members of YOUR group post attention-grabbing subject lines) is ludicrous.
I foresee that the group "tags" will come to an end soon, as they are getting out of hand quickly. I saw an entire thread in the Screenshots Forum today that had been hijacked with an argument about which group was "allowed" to post the stupid subject line tags.
Moreover, these groups seem to be forming "bumping" parties whereby members of the group are either obligated or encouraged to "bump" the screenshots of other group members. The subject line tags serve to help other group members quickly identify which threads to go post a "5/5 lol" in. This is not helpful or beneficial to the vast majority of other users who are NOT in these groups. I do not want to reach the point where I feel like my screenshot/map/gametype/film is going to fall off the first page within thirty seconds unless I affiliate myself with a powerful group that will help me out by bumping my post. That's cheating.
I am strongly opposed to these subject line tags, which cause nothing but trouble and serve absolutely no justifiable purpose.
