I notice repeat topics all the time. This thread may even be one but even so it would only prove the point i'm about to make.

People always say "use the search button," but I've noticed rescently when looking for certain topics that this is to strict of a search.

If you spelling is even a letter off you will get nothing. If you don't have the exact title of a topic specific thread, if you get results, it isn't likely going to be what you wanted. And several times i was looking for a topic i had read earlier but forgot to save, remembering the title i typed it in and go 0 results. After digging VERY deeply into the forum i found it with the same title. I saved it and copy and pasted the title into the search bar which still gave me 0 results.

Eg. (this is a common error in file forums) I say what i thought to be a cool pic. I remember a bit of the title and its description. Typing any of that info won't likely find that file.

I don't know this happens because the search feature has to "update" itself ever so often, but its annoying at times. It does work, but i usualy only search for "lost" topics instead of commonly repeated ones.

Perhaps a solution would be merely imput an advanced search feature to narrow down the search. Like i know what im looking for is in the halo 3 forum, instead of pulling a trillion topics off all the forums, allow me to limit my search to a specific forum. Also choices for specific titles only or specific threads. Not only key words.

Just a suggestion. I don't know if anybody has this problem, maybe i'm unlucky. Maybe i should save more topics. But for me the search feature just isn't reliable

Also usernames, when I go to look at all of my forum posts, it comes up with stuff with the same word as my username even though I had nothing to do with it.

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

Hmm try using Google's advanced search features to find what you are looking for. It isn't tonnes more effective but has slightly better results.

Actually, I believe they fixed that. I used to have that problem all the time. I do not have that problem since the latest update however, and after looking through your recent posts, I think that issue has been solved.

OP, I can see what you mean. I'm sure the webteam is still tweaking it aswell. For me though, it's not a problem at all, so I can't really be in your shoes at the moment. I remember when there wasn't a search bar, hasn't impacted me too greatly I guess.
