You need to download the Halo Dedicated Server. Halo Ce comes with the server files already, but with Halo PC you have to seperatly download and install it.

Also, when you download the Halo Dedicated Server application, make sure to grab the server maps and the update to Patch v1.06.Without all three, you won't be able to run it.

It's a simple process, just install the server and extract all the maps (from the map pack) into the 'maps' folder, put the v1.06 patch directly into your Halo DS folder and use the v1.06 .exe to start the server!

After all that, start up your Halo PC game and go into 'Network Settings' and change the port numbers that Halo uses up one or two numbers each. (Only if you wish to play from the same machine that you are trying to host on...)

That's it!

Heyyo,

Do you have a router too? if so, you need to foward ports on that sucker as well and set your ip to a demilitarized zone (DMZ).

Put the ports in the halo settings back to the way they were. For hosting a dedicated server, you need to change the port on that, the ds. I believe you just create a shortcut and add this at the end of the target line: -port 2304

and that should do it. ;)
