"Bs: Blame stosh for all of your BS!"

Basically, i'm trying to submit news, right? Well, when i submit certain news with colored font and crap, it will say that i have "too many characters" and this message in red font will say there are too many characters or no more than 400 characters can be submitted(summary). But what happens is i actually have less than the maximum amount of charcters and i have no clue why it won't let me submit the news, even though it has less than the maximum characters. So what's the deal? Is the counter messed up? Or is it just a techinical error?

I get more ass than a toilet seat.

Because only certain people can submit news?

I believe spaces count, are you posting this to a groups page?

Sometimes when I try to post a thread, I could have a small paragraph and the forum say that I've got too many characters. I'd like to know why it happens, but it's not a big deal. I just clear my cookies/cache and it works afterwards.

I'm not to keen on all that but, could it be because you are trying to use color tags? Try not using those and see if they go through...

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I believe it counts markups and spaces when it counts your characters. As High Truth suggested, perhaps its your color tags. If so, you'll have to either not use those, or shorten your initial body.

Well, you see, it goes through removing the tags, but why shouldn't it with the color tags. Just a question.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

Because when it says "400 characters" it means just that. Markup tags count against his limit because size of the database field that entry is being stored in is defined as a nchar(400)... in other words, I have to store your font tags somewhere, so you're going to get "charged" for it in terms of your character limit.
