First and foremost, you should decide which aspect of the games industry you want to go into, so that you can take classes which aim towards that area. If you're looking to go into programming, you should probably look into taking more math classes in high school, checking out some programming tutorials and maybe buying a few books on it. If art is more your forte, you should definitely think about taking art classes and going to an art-based college.
A lot of it is outside school, as well -- use some free time to look this stuff up and get a good understanding of what that job would require, so that you have a good foundation to build on. If your school doesn't really provide much education in your area of interest, you may have to take classes outside school with places that do teach for that specialty, or with things like programming, you can take online tutorials and things like that.
So essentially, get a good idea of what it is that you want to do, and then go from there. Knowing that you want to get into the games industry (or any industry, really) while you're still young gives you a lot more of an opportunity to get a head start. If you read up on the specialty you're looking to go into, you can get started with the fundamentals and maybe even get a good handle on some more advanced things before you even go to school for that specialty, so that when you eventually do go to school for it, you'll already have a good idea of what you're doing.
