Reading this weeks update, it speaks about the proximity voice, which I understand means the further away you are, the quieter your voice will be.

Do you think this applies to all players on both teams? Which means if you are getting the flag at the enemy base, and need to tell a sniper on the other side of the map to cover you, they cant hear? Does it mean that when you want to speak, the other team can hear your tactics if you're too close, or do you think it will have a teamspeak button, or maybe they only hear you if you press a button which allows you to taunt?

Will this feature make the whole "multiplayer feels like you're playing a LAN" idea not work, and will it be an option for hosts to turn on/off?
Sorry for all the questions, but its good to know other peoples opinions and if they know something I haven't read yet.

Well I would hope it is 2 channels of audio one to speak to team mates and one to taunt enemies with. The team mate one being like normal Live communication and the enemy one being the proximity voice.

i think they mean proximity to enemies, because the suits have built-in radios, right? so when u get a certain distance to an enemy, say 10 meters, u can say, "BURN IN HELL, BIATCH!!"

I think it will go like this.

All team mates will be able to hear one another. Enemies that are within range will be able to hear you.

This would be great. Sneaking into the base and listening to the other teams plan. Laughing and farting noises as you squat on dead enemies. Trash talking will reach a new level of awesomeness.

This may have already benn mentioned, but I think u should have a like radio for your mates that wont let ur enemy(s) no wat ur doin. Ant then a speaking channel every one can hear.

It works surprisingly well, and it adds a lot of interesting possibilities to the gameplay. I don't think I can go into detail now or I'll get fired, but suffice it to say that so far it's been really cool.

Here is my take on it. The proximity voice is not always turned on but you can turn it on when you want to. It's not a COM but it's just like talking to a friend in real life. It has been awhile since I read the books, but I'm pretty sure that that spartans could only be heard when they turned on a speaker that was on the outside of the suit. Meaning that the helmet would stop all sound coming from inside of it unless the speaker was turned on. Not completely sure of this so don't yell at me if I'm wrong.
