Hey, I am really interested in becoming a moderator for the forums, and I want to know how I can become one. I'd appreciate it if you could contact me by any of these three methods.

Query threads are created to be replied to, so I might as well reply here.

Basically, you have to show a high level of maturity and responsibility, as well as dedication, a nice personality, and helpfulness. However, it takes something really special to become a moderator; and it's unlikely that Bungie require any more at this given time.

If you work hard enough, maybe you will be rewarded in due time....but the competition is tough, so be warned.

Trying to become a moderator probably won't make you become one, but being a good member will.

You must earn the trust of at least 77% of Bungie employees. Then the trials will begin; first by fire, then ice, and finally by enduring seven minutes of Sketch's poetry.

And then you'll be put on the list. Maybe.

I think 7% is a better estimate; personally, I sincerely doubt that many Bungie employees would want to come onto a site where they get so little respect for their work.

The sad thing is that it is true. Very few people on these forums truly appreciate the work Bungie puts not only into their games, but into maintaining this site. As for becomig a MOD, don't count on it. There are few MODs on this site, so they obviously don't let just anybody become one. The MODs that they do have are great at what they do, somore MODs are probably not needed.

You have to give each of us several million pounds just to be considered.

That's only about 100,000 USD.

That almost sounds like a threat. :)

Well, not everybody can become mods, but everyone can become good members and be respected almost as much as mods.

Probably pounds of hair. I mean, someone has to cut the Webmaster's hair at some point, right?

The land that invented [... well, stole from the French] Fish and Chips and put them in a newspaper wrapper can hardly be called exotic. We English have a property unique among humankind; 'anti-exotiquete' I have dubbed it. Should we come into contact with anyone remotely exotic, total conversion to energy occurs. Why do you think we ended up conquering 25% of the world? All the explosions baby... 3rd world nations were unable to withstand the might of our exotic/anti-exotic weapons.
