Most moderators started out as members. They were chosen to be volunteer forum ninjas because of their beneficial community involvement. You cannot apply for such a position for you are offered the permission(s) if they feel you can contribute.

As the most primary factor of moderation is trust, please keep in mind that Bungie doesn't want you striving to become part of the online team, but rather enjoying the site by its most ideal experience. You can do so by being who you are, following the rules/guidelines, and interacting/getting involved with the community.

For more information regarding moderators, you may visit the official FAQ, found here. If you have more questions or would like further assistance with an issue regarding this topic, feel free to send me a private message and I will be more than glad to help with what I can.

Ninjas are usually old school members who have been recognized by bungie socially.

I always wondered if the forum ninjas had an age limit.

Only a maturity limit. If you're 5 years old, but are as smart and act like any other mature teen or adult on the forums, you could be chosen to be a mod.

But you'd probably have better things to do, like cure cancer.

On that note, I was 15 when I was chosen to be a mod.

Also note that forum copping is a no-no.

Yeah, the CoD4 forums on Xbox.com are far better for that.
