Long live the Last Refuge!

Well I've installed and uninstalled halo CE about 5 times today for the same proplem. I get this menu that is mostly black and it has the music. With the spots where you can see where objects end. My main proplem is that every time i try and join a game it says gathering expection data.

Can you take pictures? ( Cntrl + Prnt Scrn, Open Paint then paste it there, save, host it on Photobucket or Imageshack. )

You need to turn off or set to application controlled the anti-aliasing setting in your video driver. be sure you set it for haloce.exe and not just Halo. Halo Custom Edition (CE) has different video routines that use fast shaders that the Halo PC retail version does not. That is why Halo PC works when Halo CE doesn't.

Most Vista video drivers now have the anti-aliasing set to ON as default.

okay there are other reason's to that could be leading to this
1 halo pc is not installed or is messed up when you install haloce
2 you have a low end graphics card, most case's it is that
3 if you have vista then sometimes it refuse's the program
4 your sound card is messing up,sometimes the sound card tries to keep up causeing issues of some sort..
5 certain settings on your computer is messing with what your trying to do.
6 processing power is to LOW but can be fixed by turning your pc into a oil based pc
the oil based pc that you can turn your pc into makes it more faster and its not exspensive
unless you want to buy another 1500 dollar computer hehe

Other reason to as well but i am to tired to think of them...
