Ok. We all know that the banshee can boost like the ghost (see Game Informer Scan on HBO) but if the left trigger is used to boost what will happen to the fuel rod cannon? Will it be assigned to another button, will it replace the plasma cannon, or will it be gone completely? If any one knows please tell me because I have no idea!

Also. What of the Portable Fuel Rod Gun? (The version thats only in Halo PC - Multiplayer) Should that return in Halo2?

I liked it on the computer version, but it didn't really match for how the hunters used it. I think that it should be more powerful and have a bigger blast radius, but not were you can just throw a volly of plasma at the opponent.

Yes, if it returns they should definately tweak it a bit first. But what about the banshee? Does anyone know anything about what I was talking about?

PS I apologise if this has been brought up before...

None of the magazines have reported on the controls much save to say it's all like Halo1 and that they'll be intuitive.

It could be that you use the Y button like usual to switch between the plasma cannons and the fuel rod. It would work well.

Ok, I wasnt sure if bungie had announced how it would work. I was just wondering if anyone knew but if you dont know, I doubt anyone else will lol. Thanks.

Well when using Boxer setting you have to use the B button to fire the Fuel Rod. It is not to bad since you can only fire it every so often.

Oh hell!!! Anyway, if bungie wanted banshees out they would take them out so what is your point exactly?

 • 06.14.2004 10:43 AM PDT

I think that the Banshee with the fuel rod gun makes Banshees twice as cheap as they were in the first place. Of course, everyone likes the Banshees in Halo PC, because they are so damn overpowered. I think we have to sacrifice something we like so that the overall Multiplayer experience in Halo 2 is fair. No?

Yeah so maybe the boost replaces the fuel rod to make it fairer. Thats one possibility I hinted at.

Or they could make them very weak (structurally) so they blow up quickly.

If they sped up the plasma cannons like they did on the ghost and lose the FRG. Also give it 1.5 time the health as the ghost then i think that would be balanced out.

if the banshee is destructable it may be easy to kill becase it said in the books that MC was trying to get a lucky shot on to one of the grav pods on the "wings" of the banshee, now if you sniped that with a pistol the banshie might become uncontrable and spiral down to the ground, as for shooting the fule rod, pressing Y makes scence. (the first part was a way to make the banshee more balanced)

i say just take the banshee out of MP. it is too powerful and it takes away from the fun of the game

Chuckles 117 you could make the banshee more fair and balanced if you put in the weak spot i mentioned above your post, dont you think so.

That is a good point. take out the grave pods or something like that could work pretty well. especially if bungie wanted to make the game as realistic as posible.

damaged grav pods= harder turning and a lower flight range

or if you shoot the grav pods enoff you just fall out of the sky, that would keep the "noobs" out of th planes, or make them think twice

Forget the weak points! Just grab the rocket launcher and target track that noob! (word noob used in context of future player and not an insult to anyone here!)

Inubitably. That is what Bungie probably has done. They made the warthog and ghost destructible and they probably made every vehicle destructible.

The Y thing would make sense. Perhaps it is the left analog stick button thing :) ...I don't know what to call it. Well, let's call it the L3 like on a playstation controller.
