Well, if it it a Gauss cannon it would be perfectly human and very very powerful.

A gauss cannon uses a magnetic driving system like a rail gun to propel a wad of something that's like steel wool. Only, unlike steel wool the threads making it up are mono-molecular or near to it giving it a fine edge that puts a masmune sword to shame.

I always thought it was a gauss cannon. If it is I'm looking forward to it.

It is supposed to be an anti-vehicle weapon.

i thought it was an impact frag grenade launcher

Edit: it may be a MAC not a gauses gun, a very small MAC

Gauss Cannon is pretty much the same name for a rail gun. Or MAC, if you're going by the books.

What I've been wondering is if the rocket hog has replaced the Gauss Cannon.. because the rocket hog from E3 2004 looks really similar to the Gauss Cannon hog in E3 2003. Actually it's kind of stupid looking, for a rocket launcher. A big long pipe to fire a missle down, huh.. riiight. I've seen people saying there will be both.. which is great, I hope they're right! But I haven't seen this addressed and it seems really obvious to me. I dunno whether this was placeholder, or they'll look really similar, or what. I hope it has not replaced it! I like the idea of a fast moving powerful projectile from a warthog.. moreso than a rocket launcher, in fact.

Edit: Eat rail death, Banshee bastards!
