Remember the first Halo2 teaser, where the MC drops out of a cruiser to comandeer the Covnenant ship. Woudn't it be cool to do that? You land on the hull slip in through an airlock, and take over the ship.

What height? In space there is distance, but it does not qualify as height. If he left the ship going 30 km an hour, he would land 30 kmph, besides he can probably run faster.

Umm..He dosent take falling very well.
From that height he definatly would have been killed.

SB-117

Its near zero gravity....It would be like falling to the bottom of a deep pool. It wouldn't even scratch his armour.

Yeah him and a couple other spartans survived a fall in earth type gravity from like the lower atmosphere so I dont think falling in zero grav that distance would shake him up that bad.

In what part of the fall of reach did he fall over a much greater distance? I remember in First Strike when the other Spartans freefall and crash into trees, and some survive. But I don't ever recall the MC falling that far.

You cannot fall in zero gravity. It cannot be done.

Some of you have mentioned it before... but some people must need it simplified for some reason.

the other spartans fell out of the pelican on there way to reach in the ?last book? so MC could definatly land on that ship

Edit: i think that would be a good idea for a level in halo2 but not the first one

When he jumps out of the ship in the trailer we don't know how close he is to the atmosphere. He's definitely not in zero-G, too close to earth. I believe he is in the upper atmosphere and instead of an acceleration of 9.8 m/s^2 he's probably accelerating much slower, which would make landing on a ship much easier.

He was going to the ship, and behind the ship was earth. So it wasn't zero gravity, but It wasn't that strong of a gravitational pull.
