Sorry guys, but enough is enough. I enjoy competitive play, but could care less about watching it. I am getting tired of seeing mediocre and even sometimes normal kills with the "word" MLG in front of it appear on bungie favorites. There are maybe 200 people who can call themselves "pro" and 1 million+ who bought the game. Maybe, I am wrong, but those 200 people sure do get a whole lot of special attention for your average triple kill...

In this forum, yes, there's one thread too many on it.
3 round bursts are always less accurate (when looking at the point of impact vs point of aim) than single shots. That is how it works with real burst fire weapons. The reason there is a burst is because it is counting on that inherent inaccuracy and spread to increase the possibility of a hit when aiming at moving targets in combat conditions.
If you are a high school football player you watch Pro football. If you are a volleyball enthusiast, you may go to a few tournaments. Or choose to watch a game or two on ESPN.Now comes gaming. Gaming enthusiasts tend to look for ways to improve their own game just the same as a football player, Or Volleyball enthusiast would.MLG may not be what all in the gaming community would like it to be. It may receive a bit too much attention in these forums. But it is all understandable.
That's not what I am saying. I could care less if some 12-year old's idol is some college kid who doesn't go outside. I am saying, why is there constantly two film clips from MLG on Bungie Favorites. I have watched them and they are not even close to impressive. They are just average triple kills with the word "MLG" in front of it...
I understang what he is saying.....The gameplays on B.net Favorites of MLG teams playing against each other arnt all that great.

they do get to much attention
Do you want gaming to become 'art'? Gaming needs all the attention it can get to become truly mainstream.

I have to disagree with you. The only reason you see a lot of MLG on B.net is because a lot of MLG is based around the game of halo which is made by bungie. This leads to a lot publicity of MLG here (even on the front page) mostly because this is where MLG flourishes. If you look at just about any other site (that is not video game oriented) then you will see that MLG if very rarely, if at all, dropped in conversation and nearly never said in the real world. Its just because this is a video game site and MLG is based of video games.
I get more ass than a toilet seat.
Anyone can put MLG in front of their names. It's not a big deal.
Posted by: Styles PToo much attention? Bungie is finally giving MLG some attention, before Halo 3 MLG was just some underground thing. I understand why Bungie is shining on them now, they just signed a contract with ESPN so MLG is about to become really big and their main game as of now is Halo 3.Posted by: Aznb01pAnyone can put MLG in front of their names. It's not a big deal.Ladies and gentleman, I present to you a person who has no idea what he's talking about!*applauds*I'm trying to put matters into perspective. He's saying because they have MLG in front of their name they are getting attention from people and Bungie which is not true. Don't hurt yourself trying to put this together.
The problem I am refering to is the fact that what are normal occurences (like your average triple kill) appear on Bungie Favorites, simply because of the people who were in the games...I could care less if Bungie kisses the ass of a very-small community of gamers, but it shouldn't interfere with their other customers.[Edited on 02.18.2008 3:43 PM PST]

But it's not called "Community Favorites." It's called "Bungie Favorites."Bungie Favorites are a matter of opinion -- Bungie's opinion of what they really like in terms of files being shared amongst the Community. Don't you think that something as subjective as what kind of photos, videos, or maps that Bungie employees really like is up to them? If they like watching MLG do its thing, then they're entitled to that. Besides, a triple kill against a bunch of pros is an exceptional feat -- it is certainly one that I've never accomplished.
No Offensiveness, Not sure how to spell that, But I see These So called Pro's Be Dealing out those Killtaculors and Kilirminjaro's, Not to many Triple's.P.S. How do i post a new topic im new to thread's.

Well...they are the best gamers from around the world. They are better than any of us here (else we'd be there instead). Why shouldn't they get some attention? They work hard for what they've gained....I say, let them reap the benefits.
yeah its kinda true. i guess they're trying to say that its good because its 3 lvl 50 or something they get a triple kill on. I agree with you because usually an mlg triple kill is throwing a grenade at 2 guys about to melee theirselfs and then shooting another guy 2 or 3 times with a BR. that was in halo 2, havn't played a mlg game in halo 3 so i dont know if its the same, but it does get kind of annoying when theres that much about it. I guess they should just put a montage on youtube or something.
