I just started a new group and dont want to do something wrong.
is there a difference between "ban" and "blacklist"? which one does "unleash ninjas" activate? can a full mod control length of time for either of those? and what does the "reveal" button do for threads?

I'm not exactly sure what the button does in groups, but bans and blacklists are the same thing, and I assume clicking the link will bring up a box so that you can choose to warn/ban.

Reveal will... well, 'reveal' all posts that are hidden by a ban (user's posts get hidden when banned).

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Ban and Blacklist are the same thing; and Unleash Ninjas activates it. A full moderator can control the length of a ban, from three days to a permanent ban. The reveal button will allow you to see posts by those who have been banned.

Edit: TGP's being mean to me. =(

I don't think so. I'm not privy to admin details however. I'm sure that if you have admin powers (not mod powers, but ADMIN powers) you can edit the ban however you like it.

Mods are limited to a warning, 3, 7 and 14 day bans, though.

I blame lack of sleep.....

Edit: The 3 day ban is the lowest ban you can do.

They actually can if Full Blacklist Permission is enabled. You simply have to access the Admin Tools, then go to Blacklist Management. Click add user to blacklist, and fill out the information. You can leave the experation date field blank and it will serve as a permenant ban until you were to remove it. You also have the option to set a date and time as to when you would like it to expire.
