To play or not to play....

I agree with that in theory.

However the game apparently had major problems with its coding and was difficult to port over to XBL. Bunige tried something like that way back when Halo CE was still in the works. But you need to remember Halo CE was released prior to Xbox Live even being in existance. I would love to play Halo CE online but unfortunately it would be difficult for Bungie to do that.

Mind you I bet they could work something out if they really tried but I doubt they will bother as Halo CE has seen its day and while it is a great game it is a bit dated now. Bungie has fixed the problems and evolved the game into Halo 2 and 3 which are both making more money than Halo CE now.

The only real way to play online via the Xbox is to use something like XBconnect.

I'm sure this has been discussed a million times. But I guarantee you if Bungie would bring CE to XBL it would probably be the most played game on live. Even more than Halo 3. Heck they could probably resell the game and people would still buy it full price just for that. Just think about it bungie, please.

(Yes I know about XBC and Xlink Kai)

If you know this has been posted many times before then why dont you have the common sence that this will never work?

I just wish Bungie would realize the amazing demand for H1 on XBL and how many people would pay full price for it. I would pay up to $100 for it with no improved graphics, just recoded for XBL play. I have been begging for this ever since H2 came out (H2 is bad, H3 is decent, but H1 FTW).

I highly doubt what people say about how successful an Xbox Live-enabled Halo would be. I don't think "millions" would pay upwards of $100 for it.

There's no need at all for this to happen. I used to be in here everyday complaining about Halo 2. As a matter of fact, I sold it the very next day after buying it on opening night. But now with Halo 3?...with downloadable content to keep it fresh?...with better graphics?...there's no need. Just let go of Halo CE.

Kek

Yeah, Halo CE pwned, but Halo 3 did improve it and I dout they'd re-release it as they want more out of halo 3 still.

Master Kim they should just do recoding if that is feasible, which Im pretty sure it would be with a knowledgeable team such as Bungie. Then they should ship just the multiplayer version of HCE for the regular price of an XBL game $60. I guarantee tons of people would buy it and Bungie would be thankful they did it. And solely a multiplayer recoding and direct selling would take much less time than creating a whole new game and would be a very profitable venture for Bungie.
