Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

The other people were right. There is no other way.

There is no way to change your Bungie.net display name, unless you were to avoid signing into this account for one year. There is an alternate solution to solve your problem however. You would technically have to create a new WLID and Bungie.net account. This time make the Bnet display name Mitch 1000.

Access your Xbox 360 dashboard signing into your primary Xbox Live gamertag Mitch 1000, linked to your Bnet account Mitch 10000. Go to Account Management, Windows Live ID, Change Windows Live ID and reassociate your gamertag to the new WLID account. Once done everything will be transferred over, such as Microsoft Points, ect... you're all set.

You wouldn't need both Bnet accounts, so I would suggest just using the new one now because it will be the one linked for stats and more features limited to Xbox Live gold users. If you have more questions or need further assistance, feel free to send me a private message and I will be more than glad to help with what I can.

Other then asking really nicely for a B.net employee to search there database (can be hard to find and i dont think they would want to edit it just incase it caused a site issue), you are best off trying CrypticGuardian's solution. Granted you may not want a new WLID (Windows Live ID) but it might be your only easy option for what you need done.

By the way, your other account now has mitch 10000 listed as the gamertag.

Okay, I hate to hang on to posts like this but:

I CANNOT CREATE NEW TOPICS! THE SITE WON'T ALLOW ME!

I can't make a post about this glitch, obviously, and bungie hasn't responded to my emails about the problem. What is going on and how do I fix it?

You are restricted from creating a new topic for the first 24 hours after registration has been successfully completed. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to send me a private message and I will be more than glad to help with what I can.

Edit: My bad, I didn't see that in your case, you have been here for some time now. Like aku said below, it is most likely a browser issue. You might encounter some site compatibility problems depending on what computer/browser combination you are working with to acess the site. I would suggesting reviewing the Recommended System Requirements, which may be found here.

If your problem still persists and that is not it, try clearing your cookies and cache. It could be one of many various things, so with the information you have given, I can only recommend advice that may or may not resolve it. Also as a temporary solution, you could try replacing 'topics' in the URL to 'create post'.

I figured that CG was probably right about your problem, but when looking at your join date, it's obvious that you've been here more than a day. In that case, there is an issue that some browsers have with creating new topics. Specifically, nothing happens when they click the "new topic" button from the forum index. If that is happening to you, try going into a thread, then clicking the "new topic" button from there. It should work, if you're having this same problem,

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

You'll have to not care that your screen name is different, or you'll have to change your GT. Those are your only options.

Locked for the all caps title.

Oh, and for the guy who can't post threads, do as aku suggested. Clear your cookies/cache and press the "create topic" button in a thread, rather than the forum queue.
