I did read the article by Achronos that addresses the different types of members on these forums ("Regular" Member, Heroic Member, Legendary Member, and Mythic Member), but I was wondering; Is this title ever promoted or demoted? If so, is it automatically updated by some sort of system, or do actual people select who they want to promote/demote?

If there is someone who knows the answer to this, it would be greatly appreciated if you could reply to me. Thanks.

Finally, if this is the wrong forum for the question, I am very sorry, it seemed to be the most appropriate.

EDIT: Thank you High Truth, your post made a lot of sense to me. Halo Pwnerer's was a little vague.

what's a little spinal fluid between you and a friend?

I do believe there is a system, possibly with some manual input. I'm just speculation of course.

There would be a system implemented for EG If you get banned, the system would see that and demote you, however if a Bungie person didnt think you fitted the role or thought you should be something higher they would maybe do it manualy.

Your best bet would be to ask a Bungie Employee EG Achronos.

As stated many times before the system is mostly completely automated, taking a number of factors that give you a set number of points, these points fall within certain thresholds, whichever threshold you end up in determines your title. However, moderators and other persons with appropriate powers can add or demote points. Things like bans and warnings though are part of the automation and deduct a certain number of points probably based on the length of time your blacklisted as a sort of judge of how bad your infraction was.

This could have been found with a simple search.

Yes, I understand what you're saying, but I didn't want to private message Achronos or any other forum moderator here because I'm sure they get tons of messages anyway and would probably just ignore mine. That is why I just posted here.

It's posts like these that explain why you're not even a Heroic Member. This was completely uncalled for and off-topic.

Yes, you're all "higher" than me, but I can still own you at Halo.

Loose talk is noose talk.

Duardo holds the answers... but even he's not perfect.

Take a look at what the Party said about the changes.

The Union of Bungie Socialist Rebulics Writes:
Comrade posters! May Day is coming! And with it several social improvements to the life of several of our posters.

The first is that Leon Ash55 is a liar and an enemy of state, and there have been numerous sitings in Mexico. I swear on our seven columns that the criminal will be hunted down and asked to pay for his crimes.

The second is that several noteworthy members are getting promotions. You, the common poster, are saying the But I thought we were all equal, comrade! Not so. Some of us are more equal than others. As so, the following new roles have been created:

Herioc: A strong ally to the UBSR, this person has served for 1 year
Legendary: A stronger ally to the UBSR, this person has served for 2 years
Mythic: A strongerer ally to the UBSR, this person has served for 4 years

As expected, one can be demoted as an enemy of state if our Glorious Leader, The Wise and Passionate Achronos says so.

That is all this week comrades. We will back next week discussing the raise in the sugar ration and the mathematics behind Bungie Socialism. So long!
