I've been going to a lot of game stores and lately I've been seeing Halo 2 copies for sale used (regular and special editions)... at first it made me laugh but I thought about it a little and I came up with some conclusions.
I believe the majority of people who traded in Halo 2, don't have XBox Live. I didn't get Xbox Live till I think 2 months after it's release.
And I was pretty bored from the game to tell you the truth. I've beaten the game on all difficulties, went to my local game place to play Halo 2 with others (but that eventually stopped because of money), And none of my friends have Xbox or are console shooter gamers. Plus I even started reading the books and listening to the soundtrack.
Then I got Xbox Live and all of that changed of course. The game has a huge replay value and I love it.
I believe this game in the long run should've been a multiplayer game only. The story was ok, don't get me wrong but when it's all done and over, you'll eventually forget about it when you go play Xbox Live, unless you've been reading the books like me.
I dunno, I think I contridicted myself... sorry for being a novice.
But yeah, I've been seeing used copies of Halo 2 all over the place. And if that is any sign for Bungie to do something different for Halo 3, I guess. In my opinion I thought the single/cop.campaign was ok, but not the best. I guess "those people" who got rid of Halo 2 had the same problem with replay value.
meh I'm gonna shut it now..
