Subject: Which Forum Do you Prefer?

Кланяються мені!

Simple really, just post your favorite forum and a brief description why. Lets try to find the resaons we still frequent these forums, why Bnet is still great.

I personaly love the community forum. I like this forum mainly because there is significantly less flaming, and anti bungie threads. I consider myself a bungie fan. However that doens't neccessarily mean I use the Bungie only forum. I like to be considered a community guy. I love the member statuses, it makes me feel like bungie is giving back some of the imput I have put into these forums. I am also known as a bungie whore by my friends as anytime I use a computer I'm here. On halo when I hear stupid complaints about bungie or Halo I like using the answers bungie gives us to appease the problem. Now most of my FList understand a bit more. I know i said brief explanation, but i love this community and though it's got its issues, this forum is the reason I still like it here.

Edit: I didn't add a poll because they are generally pointless. Also there are too many forums to use anyways

I read a lot of posts before I registered, and I still read tons more posts than I reply to, but my favorite forum is probably the Septagon. In general, I see a lot more intelligent and constructive discussions here than anywhere else. Maybe it's because a lot of the regulars here have been here for a while, and new people who have good things to add to the community tend to gravitate here.

Either way, a lot of us around here know where our towels are, so to speak, as compared with the pit of flames and poorly-written memes that is a sizable portion of the Halo 3 forum.

Loose talk is noose talk.

I would have to say the Septagon(here). I used to be addicted to the Halo 3 forum, but seeing how that was a troll infested hell hole while the Septagon is a calm forest in the middle of a lake, I choose this place.

Here, people actually read your post, while in the H3 forum, they rarely do.

The other forums here I use sparingly. The general forum is dead in the water, though I visit it occasionally. Never went to the Flood. Plan on going next week though.

I would agree The Flood is a semi-sane community and that's why I basically post there. I also like the Septagon because it's real calm. No one ever seems to violently flame you if you disagree with them.

Id say this one cause the many of the others are out of control like the Halo 3 forum there is repeated topics everywhere and so much spam

I agree with Ern, I like the laid back style in this forum.

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

I like the Septagon (This one), there tends to be more intelligent discussion here.

I always hated you the most.
My Message Policy

Do private groups count? As for public forums, I have to go with the Septagon. As stated before its more relaxed and intelligent. Even though it has more than its fair share of recon/ whats a member role/clan ad etc.

Whoop whoop whoop whoop WHOOP!

HALO THREE FORUMS FTW! Psyche, had ya going there....didn't I? The Flood, just because last night I got to read one troll's post about a bug in his pants and how he tied it into Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...badly, and because I got to read about someone whose girlfriend supposedly handcuffed him to a pipe in his basement...which happened to be within typing range. >.< My favorite chatting device, forums notwithstanding, that's Bungie related, would have to be Marathon :P. Talk with intelligent people, and fire SPNKrs at them!

I happen to like the Halo 3 forum the best. I lurk often and most of the threads are just hilarious to read through. I tend to add my two cents to topics I feel strongly about.

MLG is for kids that are too fat to excel at real sports

New Flood the home of all things random

OMG, gaming for the fun of it.

The Flood, it has a sense of humour, and once you learn to look past the general mess and start picking out certain members you see how good of a community it has.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

The Septagon, hands down. This forum contains those that have ideas for the site, those that need help, and those that just generally want to have a debate of some form or another. This place is filled with intelligent posters, and the spam is at a bare minimum.

If there were to be any other forum, I would have to say The Flood. It used to be where I would only go back in '05 and partial '06. The posts are witty, entertaining, and sometimes refreshing. Granted, there is quiet a bit of spam at some points; that's why it didn't get my pick as my preferred forum.

If you invite me to your group you will be blocked.

I love my groups, but I'm trying to get back into the Flood.

It's not the best, but it's my "Old Home."

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Prefer implies I like one of them. :/

I usually stick to the spetagon and underground, because I can't be bothered to keep up with the pace of the other forums. Well, that, and I don't care to talk about halo any more.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I'm with JoeSki -- I like the Septagon and the Halo 3 Forum for different reasons. Optimatch too, although it can be exhausting dealing with some of the debates in there -- it often feels like I'm spinning my wheels trying to discuss topics with some of the astonishingly stubborn folks there (but most people are quite reasonable and logical).

  • 02.22.2008 9:50 AM PDT

I would be inclined to say the Flood (or Short Bus), but I have a love/hate relationship there. I find myself posting in The Septagon (this forum) more than anything else nowadays 'cause quite a few interesting things have happened here =]

But my favorite would probably have to be The Maw (Halo PC forum), because I <3 to talk about nerd stuff.

Stop kidding yourself.

I also like The Septagon, Halo 3, and Optimatch Forums. The Flood as well. It's pretty much all the older forums I don't go too, as I don't have much input and no one else really posts there.

* Pr: ĭnʹtərnĕts: "I hear there's rumors on the uh (pause), Internets...

The Gallery is a great place to see creativity, shame it hardly gets updated anymore...

But The Septagon, is without a doubt, the premier place to have a non-inane conversation, especially without all the smarmy younger members.

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

I like them all but for different reasons. I like the halo 3 forum only because it's the only place to descuss halo 3. Same with the files forum. I like the bungie general and community forums because they are filled with generally nicer people and posts. I like the halo ce and halo 2 forums for the same reason, much less flameing.
