I have read over so many threads and seen:

zomg bung u neidz too ficks teh grinaids bucuz tey are teh blaast raydius iz tew big!!! end howlee crahp teh maylay iz garbidge.

Why can't threre be a Spell Check button among cancel, preview, and submit? Of course, the above example would still be garbage if spelled right, but it is just an example.

So many times I have strained to comprehend posts. There must be spell check programs already made that someone as skilled as Achronos could just stick in there, right?

I mean, come on. T3h 5p3lL Ch3qu3r wud b aye b1G h3lP....

Sorry if this is impracal, stupid, or out of the question. Actually, you could probably get away with implementing it only on the Halo 3 forum, as this is the center of all the misspelling :P

It's an individuals job to make sure they are communicating efficiently, not Bungies. Besides, those same people, would probably never use the feature anyway. Some still, choose to type like that simply because it is more native using the logic that since this isn't school or work or anything they don't need to type totally correct. Which is more than less true.

I think we need to go to the higher ups on this one and ask why Mozilla Firefox isn't installed by default on every PC out there. That would solve this problem :P

And mac. I have a mac, and I use Firefox. It is excellent.

Good point. I mean, it could be mandatory to post, but that would be time consuming. I never said I had an idea to implement this in a practical application, but wanted to toss up the idea for discussion.

The misspelling is why I like the Septagon. There's less of it here :P

Fight hard, break bones >{o

if you can understand then why does it matter?

if a thread title is spelled in a way you dislike, avoid the thread.

Irritation, extra effort to decipher it. Sometimes it is totally illegible. And I don't care about the title, sometimes the content of the thread is obnoxiously misspelled.

If people cared how they spelt, they wouldn't post that stupidly anyway.

And for the people who do care, they can use Firefox. Not only because it comes with a spell check; it's just a wonderful browser.

I have Firefox and I don't need it for spell checking because I'm so good! And its a good nice browser. Safari requires an update for tabs but, it still feels cold and miserable with no spell check, no wiki coding bar, and it doesn't have circle tabs. And that can make a difference. Oh, and Firefox is a Mac program. No Microsoft. The only word I'm stumped on is Hiearach. See that its incorrect?

Safari has a built in spellchecker also, and its the standard browser for macs. The only browser that doesn't have a spellchecker is IE I think.

OMG, gaming for the fun of it.

I agree with some of the people above, if they cared enough about their spelling they would use a web browser with a spell check on it already. The fact that they don't shows they do not care how they post as long as the point they are making comes across and so would be unlikely to use a b.net spell checker.

True, but there is a Google toolbar that you can download that has the spell checker.

I type in Microsoft Word, then I copy/paste it to my post.
A spell checker would be nice though.

The problem lies with an arrogant little megacorporation that is seemingly hell bent on world domination. You may have heard of them. 'Micro$oft.'

It’s all cyclical...

Firefox is definit. the way to go. However there is an add-on for IE call "IE Spell" that may be of interest to those in charge. A simple spell check for forum postings.

While a spell checker may increase the ability to read the post, it certainly won't increase the intelligence level of the post's content. Or the poster himself.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

A spell checker will not help with people when they type like that. They will just ignore the little red lines. What is needed is something like this.
